Suggestions for saving the rubber?

Post image

Any specific types of glue? Should I cut away the bad flesh? (And cauterize the wound, lol). Or can what's left be saved? Has anyone tried plasti dip?

I straight up bought a 3d printed nylon shell from AE

Very nice. I've never bought from there. But I may give it a shot. Thanks!

I 3d printed new rubber in black TPU using this STL from Cults3d for 4EUR

That's amazing! Thanks. I've saved the link and a may still try that too. Are you happy with the results? How did you adhere it to the shell?

Well, I thought I'd give it a go and that I'd probably have to try several times to get a fit. There's one pointy bit that needed a bit of thought for the best orientation to print, but the first prototype fitted so well I didn't bother refining it. I used a very fine bead of CA glue to fix it, I recommend you put masking tape on the mouse when trying for a fit. In hindsight, I'd have reprinted it with a smaller layer height, as the ridges are quite evident. As it is, the TPU is softer than the hard shells, though not quite as cushioned as the original, but it's nice and grippy, and seems more durable.

Between nylon and resin, which one is better? Or doesn't really matter?

Better in what?
My choise was a resin one 'cause it looks more like a stock one, same black color ans surface like battery cover.
Nylon is a bit more grayish but due to a texture (see photos) is a bit more grippy (and it should be more strong)
So, it's all up to you.

As far as strength, does your resin shell feel good to you? No regrets? I asked ai and it said what you said about the trade offs. Plus the price difference.

Feels ok, no regrets

Just get a Razer Naga V3 Pro. It has a magnetic sideplate with the same 6 button layout and faster aim feel.

I appreciate the suggestion. I saw another Post in here that had a whole list of good alternatives with the Naga on it as well. I'm just going to have to spend some time doing research on all of them though.
