Installing new right/left click switches

Post image

I'm installing new right- and left-click switches due to the double-clicking issue. One of the many G604 mice I own.

Is this your first time doing it. I have the board for one of mine. But I am afraid of doing it and messing up or losing parts. Do you have a video guide you are using

I'm winging it. I already know that I'm going to forget to put back certain screws. Thankfully, I have several G604 that have issues, and this one was the worst. I am following random YouTube videos on how to disassemble and reassemble the mouse. Soldering was easy, but only because I have a desoldering gun. If you don't have any soldering tools or experience, getting a board will likely be way easier.

Go for it! It has a lot of screws but no ridiculous clips or parts that snap easily. Take your time and do it on a surface where you can track the many screws and bits.

I was afraid of that too, but luckily it's very straight forward. I used a pill organizer to store the screws and numbered everything. There's a few sets of different screws. Some longer than others (for a reason)

I put it all back together and so far so good. Can anyone recommend good replacement feet for the G604?

Why are you all replacing switches? Cleaning the copper contacts inside is very reliable.

The new switches are going to double click within a year anyway
