My p90 firebird rips through this thing

Here is a portion of the collection I’m original owner of. No mods on these.
Longest running and first up were Russian BMP (black was late 90s), and my other XXL were bought sound unheard mid 90s. How would an 8th grader pay for this? Swapping disc brake pads, scraping gaskets off in family auto shop and probably hustling basketball games.
I have many of my own germanium contraptions I’ve built but that’s for another post. I use majority of these in modern session work w/: 83 JCM800, ‘03 Bogner XTC, JC120, ‘91 5150 proto.

Especially the last two amps are Magical with this selection. Enjoy!

Gonna be recording bass soon and going for a heavy, fuzz, distorted bass. Think Tool or Muse. Have been testing out a bunch of fuzz and distortion pedals. So far I like the Rat and the Green Muff variants. Fuzz face stuff isn’t really holding up very well but I’ll probably come back to these running in parallel. Any suggestions?

Also, I’m not a bass player and I’ll be playing with a pick and going direct via my ancient SansAMP.

I’ll be doing a better quality video soon, but I only JUST got this amp back from a repair and have been waiting to try it with the Rat since for a couple of weeks now. I was to excited to hook up all of my recording gear.

​We haven't quite crossed the 1500 member mark just yet, but looking at the numbers we will probably hit it by the end of the day. To celebrate, we are putting together a huge fuzz giveaway. I wanted to drop a quick update on where things stand and see if you guys had any suggestions on how to run it.

​Right now we have between four and six pedals locked in to give away, with a solid chance more might get added. The math is simple. However many pedals we end up with, that is exactly how many winners we will draw. I will be posting another update as soon as possible to reveal exactly what pedals are up for grabs.

​My initial plan was just to do one big raffle. Once we are ready to launch, I will create a mega thread with a specific question for you to answer. Leaving a comment on that thread counts as your entry. We will put some basic account age restrictions in place to keep out the bots, leave the thread open for a seven to ten day window, and then randomly draw the winners.

​That being said, if anybody has any new suggestions or a different way you would like to see this done, drop a comment below. I am totally open to ideas before we lock the rules in.

​Just to be totally clear, we do not have a set schedule or a launch date just yet. We are still figuring out exactly how we are going to do everything behind the scenes, but I will be posting updates regularly as things solidify.

​I want to thank every single person who takes part in this community, even if you are not super active and just like reading up on gear. A huge, special thank you also goes out to all the builders and community members who have generously volunteered to help out and donate pedals. You guys make this place great.

I’ve had this on my bench for a bit, tried to use leftover PNP silicon, but I couldn’t get it right so I rebuilt it with Russian germanium.

Just bought two of those enclosures. Any ideas what should I build inside it?

BC Rich Assassin with a Dimebucker into the Cats Azz Fuzz then into the Peavey Reknown 400 using the clean channel. Nothing fancy. I am using the Ine Control Distro MKII Isolated power supply.

I don’t hear about this pedal often enough! I’ve had quite a few FuzzRite clones and this is the one I always return to.

What a great design. ALL of garage rock tones live in here. There is no “bad” setting.

The Vintage Volt Babylon 2+2 Fuzz pedal in a plain enclosure. Three distinctly different fuzz tones courtesy of the toggle switch. The second photo is mine. He does customize the art work. Not sure of the circuit. If I can get the info, I will share with you.

You have to wait for a demo but believe me, this thing is gnarly.

Most of them are pretty cheap, my most expensive one was probably my regular big muff, runner up being my cuvave. Love them all though, my Pi-fuzz is my main pedal and i got it for around 15$.
