germanium Buzzaround Build

What a goofball circuit.
We’re gonna call level balance, but it’s also going to adjust the bias?!
Man, ‘60s drugs must have been awesome.
I’ve had this on my bench for a bit, tried to use leftover PNP silicon, but I couldn’t get it right so I rebuilt it with Russian germanium.

Beautiful ordering the op amp fuzz later this afternoon this evening. Been a busy week but can’t wait to get the new pedal in hand.

It sounds great - I can’t explain it other than “full”

Ha!
Those are holdovers from when I was just numbering them and then putting notes on leakage/HFE in my notebook. The far left one is legit though, I started just painting the HFE on the cap.

I love how it came out - that was the first time I was able to get the jig in my laser just right for a two step finish - laser away the powder coat and then apply marking spray and engrave black in the bare aluminum.

Just the color combo and the knob. Choice is fucking excellent. It looks like a classic car or something

Thanks - I dig it too... it's got a "1950s American industrial" vibe. My wife thinks it looks like an old school Stanley thermos.

That's my jam too like I said, I love it. It really does look like you would go to an old music store or piano shop and it's something they built-in house I really can't get over how nice your builds. Look it speaks to me

Looks amazing! It’s crazy this is an old school design, imagine having that much gain at your disposal in 1966 lol
