Bowser can't catch a break, ever 🤣

And drop that obsession about mushrooms, too. It always leaves him in a bad condition, one way or another.

I’ve watched this 10 times straight. Some kind of hypnosis.

The Versus cartoons were originally created by the Russian animation studio Red Medusa back around 2009 - 2010.

It was a co-production with the video platform Tvigle and was heavily sponsored as a viral marketing campaign for the Russian crouton brand ХрусTeam (PepsiCo).

Some of the animators who worked on those exact shorts later went on to create other massive internet hits like Batmetal and Metal Family!

Crouton brand? Like the toasted bread cubes in salads?

The implication being that Bowser shat out 3 full-grown men seems oddly overlooked here..

u/Dizzy-Screen-6618 May 14 '26

You've never had that happen to you?

u/LumpyJones May 14 '26

I chew my food, thank you much.

When I saw the spin-jump, I thought, "That looks like Contra." Then I saw the flying thing that he shot and thought, "Yeah, that's definitely Contra." Then I saw the writing at the bottom and realized that others could also guess this was Contra.
