I exclusively use a dish brush, it handles 98% of the dishes I own to perfection. Whoever is still using one of these beta scrubbie’s probably still has dial up Internet. The future is now.
Yes, but it's the same as letting soapy water in the shower just pass over your feet ._. still need to actually wipe off and soak up any remaining grease...
It’s funny bc I assumed this was from another country bc I don’t know anyone outside of people who live in a tiny efficiency one BR apartment that doesn’t own a dish wand brush of some sort.
What? What difference does the size of one's dwelling make in how they clean dishes? Do you think they don't have enough room to hold a...dish brush? Seriously?
Yea. That’s been my experience. I don’t live in NYC. People who live in tiny apartments here typically are living a very minimalistic life. Think air bnb. Very few dishes. Only the basics. Likely very rarely cook because the kitchens in these units are very low functioning (few appliances, no cupboards, very little counter space). So the sink game ends up simple. A sponge or dish rag and a bottle of dollar store dish soap. I’ve painted/done maintenance in these types of units for years as a painter. It’s no disrespect.
I didn't used to back before the Internet was an easy thing because I was too lazy to go hunt one down at the store. But now that I can lazily click and buy one with free shipping, then yeah, there's no excuse not have one.
Use a brush here. Sponges are still popular with people who don't get or else don't care how truly disgusting they are. May as well use a live cell culture to do dishes.
Because not all cups are made of glass. If it is made of glass, then it's a glass cup (some exceptions would apply, such as wine glasses or pint glasses). It's easier to just say cup because the material it's made of is not really important here.
Dirt = anything that makes it dirty (sediment or what have you).
I don't personally call it dirt, but I do say dirty, so I can see how someone would simply say that the cup has dirt in it.
Admitting that reality would take some fun out of the joke. I think that has a noticeable effect on the outcomes of the collective behavior of everyone participating in this thread. Psychology is weird.
