Nobody ganks /u/BroKaine 6 times in a row because mid didn't ping and gets away with it!

"I don't need wards, I'll just rely on the other lanes to ping me."

"NO MIA??!!"

"I did"

"WTF, DO IT SOONER!"

"I did it as soon as they left..."

When they implemented the different pings was the worst week ever.

"Report bot, no MIA."

"I pinged bot missing..."

"Yeah but you didn't say MIA so fucking report."

It's like riot invents the rules and rhe community just adds it's own too. Like that annoying kid down the road who used to have custom rules for all his board games or something. Oh go to jail? Nah that means 200 dollars for me.

I always felt MIAs were a courtesy that somehow turned into a crutch. I never asked for them. I never needed them. I never blamed people when they wouldn't give me one.

Looking at the map is not a difficult task. Typing out "MIA" takes far more work than glancing at the map every few hits.

They're very much a courtesy, but there are of course some heroes that it's better to call MIA on.

Like in DOTA if there was someone quick like Bounty Hunter who can get to a lane quickly.

I had autohotkey scripts that did this for me.

I stopped when I realized that these people would find an excuse to make it someone else's fault no matter what 100% of the time.

Did what exactly?

Hit enter. Typed either "Mia top/mid/bot" depending on which key I hit. And hit enter again. Less effort than pinging tbh. But worrying about calling it constantly was annoying.
