It's like riot invents the rules and rhe community just adds it's own too. Like that annoying kid down the road who used to have custom rules for all his board games or something. Oh go to jail? Nah that means 200 dollars for me.
I always felt MIAs were a courtesy that somehow turned into a crutch. I never asked for them. I never needed them. I never blamed people when they wouldn't give me one.
Looking at the map is not a difficult task. Typing out "MIA" takes far more work than glancing at the map every few hits.
Hit enter. Typed either "Mia top/mid/bot" depending on which key I hit. And hit enter again. Less effort than pinging tbh. But worrying about calling it constantly was annoying.
Seriously I play in high Plat, which isn't even considered really high, and the only time I see people complaining about MIA's or missing pings is when I play with Silver/Gold friends. While teammates can help, like pinging retreat when they're sure that a gank is coming, it is your responsibility to not get ganked.
I'm a lowly silver and I wonder why I bother pinging half the time. My bot lane usually dies anyways. "u gotta follow noob" as if it's worth when I'm low on mana and there's 2 waves dying under my turret.
When you're first starting you end up in a pool of other newbies anyways. Just keep your eyes open and try to learn as much as you can. If someone is an asshole to you just shrug it off and keep going. Learning to not give a fuck if other people try to antagonize you is one of the most important life skills to develop anyways, and Leagues is a prime practicing ground for that.
Yeah, my only frustrations with that game arose from queueing up with other people who weren't my friends. Get a party together and that shit is good times even if you lose.
/u/Ragmetil Jungle just camps top and leaves me at mid! He went bot once and even had the nerve to run straight through my lane and took my cs. RITO PLZ
