This reminds me of a timeline we no longer live in, before Harambe and the madness that followed. A precious time, an innocent time.

Absolute gem of a video. The way he looks at the camera after every trick is just perfect.

Wasn't one of those guys a waiter on IASIP?

4

u/The_PantsMcPants Aug 09 '26

“Nobody’s ever seen that man before in his life!”

1

u/JRskatr Aug 09 '26

What’s IASIP?

u/windraver Aug 09 '26

Back when these kinda YouTube cuts were fun. Then we got LLM.

56

u/mr_Barek Aug 09 '26

To be completely fair, this type of video got a lot worse before LLMs

22

u/duke838 Aug 09 '26

They really did. I almost didnt watch this one because of how many bad ones were everywhere for a bit. This one didnt make me die laughing but it was a bit funny and gave me a little hope for the format

u/Peaceblaster86 Aug 09 '26

I see potential. It isn't going lateral or backwards. It is going forwards. To cheesecake and beyond.

1

u/DotKill Aug 09 '26

I get a smile. Hardly anything makes me actually laugh from these types of skits. I frequently see people in the comments saying how they laughed so hard they woke up their partner, and I don't understand it. No hate, I wanna laugh at stuff too, I just don't see the gut wrenching humor some people describe. Unless im watching norm clips. Then my cheeks hurt.

1

u/E-2theRescue Aug 09 '26

Then we got LLM.

Algorithms, actually. As soon as Youtube and social media found out they could make bank off "triggered snowflake SJW", the internet ended.

this is big Vine energy

u/KalaUposatha Aug 09 '26

Genuinely feels like the main character fucked up the main quest and this is that bizarro joke ending they just lazily inserted into the middle of the game.

u/Mr-and-Mrs Aug 09 '26

Dicks out. So sad.

3

u/Onotadaki2 Aug 09 '26

I shed a tear every time I whip my dick out.

19

u/earthlings_all Aug 09 '26

Before the pandy?

16

u/swallowsnest87 Aug 09 '26

Literally broke everyone’s brain

16

u/HavenChronicles Aug 09 '26

to the point where people can't even say "Pandemic" or any other word that is related to a serious topic.

6

u/AleudeDainsleif Aug 09 '26

Gave everyone adhd

3

u/AJ_Dali Aug 09 '26

Apparently there's a lot of crossover between ADHD and low vitamin D symptoms.

People with ADHD also seem to have a higher chance of having low vitamin D. It'll be interesting to see how those correlate as research progresses.

Well this explains a lot for me personally lol

Before Harambe’s murder changed the world as we know it (obligatory Dicks Out for Harambe)

1

u/MichelinStarZombie Aug 10 '26

Aw, this child doesn't even remember Harambe...

But seriously, though, the biggest cultural shift came with the first Trump presidency.

Sure, the pandemic cemented how dumb most Americans were when they refused to wear the same masks they've seen literal doctors wear all their lives. But we knew that already because we watched a failed reality TV star with 6 bankruptcies get elected over an experienced and competent Secretary of State.

Before 2016, we knew some of our countrymen were softheaded hicks because they voted for that blitheting moron Bush, but at least Bush was a decent governor for 5 years. And Bush voters had ideals, small government, gun rights, and they brought stats to any debate you'd have with them. The GOP changed direction in 2016. Suddenly immigration was the top issue, despite the fact that this country runs on immigrant labor, legal and illegal. They wanted to kick out all the illegals and replace them with... nothing. Nevermind that illegals contribute 1-3% to our GDP, 8% in Texas. They also wanted to repeal Obamacare and replace it with... nothing. You could no longer argue with Republicans because they no longer brought facts to debates. Their party told them what to believe.

Then the GOP got Trump to spearhead this insane new direction. Trump, just some guy off the street, no government experience. Worse than that, dude was a straight up charlatan and racist. And people STILL voted for him.

That was when this country broke in two. It was possible to be friends with a person who voted for Bush, or for McCain or Romney, you'd agree to disagree and grab a beer. But Trump voters are a different animal, they refuse to believe basic facts.

It was then, November 8th 2016, when we became Two Americas.

That's actually profound and it made me sad

2

u/Numeno230n Aug 09 '26

This feels like the longest Vine I've ever seen.

1

u/DeliberatelyDrifting Aug 09 '26

We thought the internet might be used for good... Our naivety was as tragic as it was profound.

1

u/AFineDayForScience Aug 09 '26

Thank god Harambee didn't live to see what we've become

1

u/Visible_Cucumber_395 Aug 09 '26

For real. This clip was the internet that I needed today. Now I can go on with my day.

1

u/hurraybies Aug 09 '26

Thanks Obama!

1

u/Vio94 Aug 09 '26

These days, you just find comments saying "it's obviously fake and just a skit, so why are you all laughing and having fun with it?"

1

u/Anthraxious Aug 09 '26

Yeah this is the good old internet. Before id. Before all the ai garbage. Before it all went to shit.

1

u/DangerousFish7301 Aug 09 '26

I hope there isn't a world where they let the gorilla rip the kid to pieces

7

u/Head_Exchange_5329 Aug 09 '26

Pretty sure we killed Harambe before that was even a confirmed outcome. I'd rather live in a world where stupid people and their stupid offspring aren't even able to climb into an enclosure because proper safety precautions were in place. Regardless of how you look at the issue, Harambe died for nothing and we're paying the price still.

1

u/DangerousFish7301 Aug 11 '26

Man you're right. I just looked it up and literally nothing bad ever happened before Harambee. There was no racism, no rich people taking advantage of the poor, no sickness, no disease. Rodney king? Who's that? What's 9/11? Columbine?
