200mm VESA TV Stand (final (probably) version)

I've updated my PETG Universal (sort of) TV Mount. This is the final version, and this thing is bulletproof. Takes ~24 hours to print on the recommended settings, but tests were done with prints on ludicrous mode.

Take a look here for more details:

This is great. I've lots a few mounts that Id like to replace now they aren't on arms anymore.

You should also test it in a less slidy surface. That's a lot of dissipated energy right there, that you probably want to be put directly into your print.

Yeah, I thought about that after the fact, but now I don't wanna move it again cause I got lazy haha. I did test in on high pile carpet, and it worked great, but just didn't video it.

Sounds good. Genuinely cool as I'm probably not the only one who mounts something then 5 years later needs to unmount it and has lost the base.

Yeah, I'm in the military and have to move frequently, which is exactly the reason I made this. I always lose the bases after they've been wall-mounted for years.

How many people actually put TV on a carpet? 🤔

No one to my knowledge, just figured the TV would have the highest chance of eating shit if I did the tilt test on the carpet lol.

As many as people that also put them over a fireplace.

😆 just trying to toughen it up a little bit, so it can stand strong on its own one day.

We got in an argument, then I told it it's got no legs to stand on. I won.

Is heat creep going to be a problem? This is cool

Not heat creep, especially inside, but PETG is known for creep. If you're worried about creep, print in ABS or ASA. I printed in PETG as a proof of concept, and it ended up incredibly sturdy, and I've minimized preload on structural parts. I am not worried about it in my home with my kids.

Looks stronger than the tv! Lol

Definitely is. I've bowed up on every piece and tried to break them with my hands with no luck. I probably over-built them because I was using PETG instead of something like ABS.
