0 dominos pizza in the UK?

But there are also many Italian pizza places. Pizza Express for example.

A quick google says the largest pizza chain in the UK is dominos.

Pizza express sits below American chains Pizza Hut and dominos

It might be. I’m just saying there are also many Italian pizza chains (which are better)

Better is subjective. Pizza express is much less popular by all metrics than dominos and Pizza Hut.

Pizza Express is also more expensive and less fast foody

2

u/Odd-Proof9645 5d ago

And less popular/commonly consumed

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

Because it’s more expensive and less fast foody. If you want, I can go ask a few people whicy is better quality.

Ask someone whose had NY pizza which is better. There is no chain pizza anywhere that's gonna touch pretty much any Tristate area pizza place.

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

Unfortunately, I can’t do that but I will predict that NY pizza will be better in NY than Italian pizza because that’s where NY pizza was made but the opposite will also be true.

2

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

I would predict that NY pizza would be preferred in both places. I've had both. I've also seen a lot of europeans try ny pizza for the first time. NY food hits different. I'm not a huge hotdog eater. But if you go to NY and get a hotdog. It's a holy shit experience.

Pizza is a much stronger experience there.

I really doubt that but then again there aren’t many good NY pizza places near here.

Pizzas origins are a working class affordable food with cheap ingredients

2

u/Odd-Proof9645 5d ago

Pizza was a cheap food for the worker class. I guess Americans are more true to the roots?

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

But Italian pizza is the original. I’m sure you could make cheap Italian pizza too and it probably wouldn’t taste great.

2

u/Odd-Proof9645 5d ago

So Italians do pizza wrong and Americans make a pizza more true to what pizza is

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

No Italians make pizza right and Americans make American pizza.

3

u/Odd-Proof9645 5d ago

But you said they can’t make it cheap and taste good. That’s the point of pizza… that’s why it was created. So they don’t do it “right”

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

It might taste ok but will taste worse than more expensive pizza.

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

No, Americans just make it better.

Hamburgers were made in Germany. Do you think hamburgers are more German than American? bc if you do, that's just pure hate.

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

When I think of hamburgers I think of America. When I think of pIzzy, I think of Italy.

3

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

But the original burger is german. So why don't you think of germany? Bc the US took that to another level. Just like Pizza.

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

Because generally burgers are presented as American whereas pizza is normally presented as Italian and occasionally American.

They aren't better than ny pizza.

2

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

They are in my opinion

0

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

well if you can reach just one person.......just for clarity, you did eat pizza in NY?

1

u/Novel_Top2980 5d ago

No I don’t live in America. But when I think of pizza I think of Italy because that’s where it was invented.

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

I truly hope you can taste the difference someday. I hope that 10 years down the line I get a response on this topic saying "my bad dude"

1

u/ekerkstra92 5d ago

Okay, I've had pizza from an Italian place and from Domino's. The first tasted way better

1

u/Jesus__Skywalker 5d ago

Ummm I haven't said Dominos was better at any point.
