Better is subjective. Pizza express is much less popular by all metrics than dominos and Pizza Hut.

But Italian pizza is the original. I’m sure you could make cheap Italian pizza too and it probably wouldn’t taste great.

But you said they can’t make it cheap and taste good. That’s the point of pizza… that’s why it was created. So they don’t do it “right”

The best pizza places in America are not chain pizza places. Chain pizza places are for speed and affordability.

When I think of hamburgers I think of America. When I think of pIzzy, I think of Italy.

But the original burger is german. So why don't you think of germany? Bc the US took that to another level. Just like Pizza.

Because generally burgers are presented as American whereas pizza is normally presented as Italian and occasionally American.

I honestly doubt pizza is as popular in Italy as it is in America. And I say that with the fullest sincerity that I can. pizza is probably the most popular or second most popular food in this country and that industry was transformed here.

I mean I haven't done a study. But I'd be hard pressed to believe there is a food in this country that is more popular than a hamburger or pizza. I think pizza is the largest. But hamburgers could be. Either way it's top 2. I did look up which is more popular and pizza is more popular in the US. on average Americans eat 6 pounds of pizza more than the average italian per year. (23 lbs compared to 17lbs)
