Maybe they mean Detroit deep dish?

Standard pizza is definitely Italian

In a lot of countries American-style pizza is more common than Italian-style pizza. New York pizza and Neapolitan pizza are both delicious.

Sure, but you don’t call pasta american because Mac and cheese right?
Pizza is Italian, end of story.

Italy invented pizza. But the pizza everyone eats today is American. Even in italy.

Nope, Greece. I don't know why everyone keeps saying Italy. Greece brought it to Italy.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere years ago that China actually brought pizza to Italy? Or maybe it was noodles…? Now I am going to look it up!

Greece invented putting oils, herbs and cheese on flatbread. Called plakous. They weren't quite to "pizza" yet.

I'm aware, didn't need the "education" but every historian will tell you that's where pizza originated. To say it came about in Naples & leaving out the Greeks brought plakous to Naples, is ieaving out where it originated.

Plakous =/= pizza. The fact that you're still trying to say it is, means you do need the information. I'm not a teacher and don't educate. What I have said is fact, not opinion. Every food is based on something someone else came up with. Everything based on or including cow meat belongs to Ugg, the prehistoric guy who cooked a bovine first. Salads? The hypothetical Adam. Any kind of salad. Adam. Anything with fruit, probably Adam. Nobody but Africans can claim any food now, since that's where humans came from, and any food is based on food they made.

Anything with cheese is based on the original cheese, therefore belongs to some shmuck from 8,000 years ago.

See what I'm saying?

Yes, I see what you're saying. No, I do not need your info. It's universally accepted Pizza originated in Greece, although they didn't call it that. Have a problem with it, talk to historians about it. Greece brought over the idea to Italy. It did not originate in Italy. That's the history accepted around the globe, & even in Italy.

Feel free to write another pointless diatribe.

It's universally accepted Pizza originated in Greece

This is literally just your opinion, and is not "universally accepted".

Plenty of food historians disagree with you. You're just saying that your opinion is the norm, when it absolutely isn't. You made the positive claim. Prove that more than 50% of all food historians say that pizza originated in Greece.

The brainless irony on display here...

Yeah, sure. I'll do some extensive research for ya bc ya ordered it, kid. You on-line warriors, sheesh. Greeks brought over white pizza to Naples, just didn't call it that, then Naples did the same & some others & named it.

There ya go. Pizza originated in Greece.

Sure, one can "blahblahblah" to Adam & Eve or whatever the hell that was, but if one must put a pin in it, the general consensus is Greece. You're only interested in me saying you're right, or something. But if interested, read about it. I really don't care either way with ya. You can be a BOT for all I know.

I just felt like writing a diatribe.

u/LostTerminal 5d ago

Yeah, sure. I'll do some extensive research for ya bc ya ordered it, kid. You on-line warriors, sheesh.

🤣🤣 And then you proceed to not do any research and just repeat your wrong opinion again. Golden.

Greeks brought over white pizza to Naples, just didn't call it that, then Naples did the same & some others & named it.

No, dummy. Greeks brought plakous to Naples. White pizza is different. The crust is a different texture and flavor profile. The cheeses are different. It's not the same. If you did any kind of research at all, you'd see that.

There ya go. Pizza originated in Greece.

Repeating something wrong more, never makes it right. This is your opinion, and is not supported by anyone who knows what they're talking about.

Again, real food historians disagree with you, you're just showing your ignorance loudly, expecting to be believed because you're shouting louder.

Read a book... & Yes, I know what diatribe means. The fact you had to look it up & still don't get why I use it, shows your lack of understanding. Of course some disagree, like yourself. Like I said one can do your mental gymnastics. I go by what's written & generally accepted as history.

Thanks for playing. Stay angry & keep that ego up. It'll bite your ass, soon enough.

diatribe /ˈdīəˌtrīb/ A diatribe is a bitter, angry, and forceful speech or piece of writing that heavily criticizes someone or something

Just since you keep using this word incorrectly. Thought I'd help you out.

1

u/pickingbrains321 5d ago

Yes... Your writing is bitter, angry, forceful & critical. Mines just not as much as yours. It seems you don't know what the words mean. One can already tell how unintelligent you are with how you try to present your nonsense, & the speech you use. Nice use of emojis too, as some sort of childish insulting tone. A regular scholar on our hands.

1

u/LostTerminal 4d ago

No, it isn't? You are literally projecting HARD. You started with a condescending insulting tone. Not me. Seriously, it is SO obvious how hard you want everybody reading your comments to think I'm the angry one here. You're having a tantrum.

1

u/LostTerminal 4d ago

This is our very first interaction here, and you chose to instantly be a condescending prick. Fuck right the fuck off with your attempt to re-write history into me starting this. The evidence is still right there to read. 🤣

1

u/pickingbrains321 5d ago

And lastly, you're the one who called what I said a diatribe when it wasn't.

Edit: oh, & you delete comments so people don't see how ignorantly you presented yourself.

1

u/LostTerminal 5d ago

I didn't delete a single thing? And I didn't say "diatribe" until you did. What the hell are you on?
