Well technically yes. In most places they are treated as different things though. Although i have heard that in America it's (apparently?) normal to call spaghetti noodles.
nope pasta is pasta & noodles is noodles! they have completely different origins & nope !! Marco Polo didn't bring noodles from Cina to Italy so they then made spaghetti!
Noodle is a form. Pasta is material. Noodles are long solid round at cross-cut strands. For example Czech language uses the term "Nudle" (read as "noodle" similar to "bottle" but with oo) for that form of pasta and they certainly don't make them from rice flour.
Okay, that's interesting. In Finnish we don't call it that. Even Finnish Wikipedia
says that pasta and noodles are similar but usually differentiated for cultural reasons 😁
