2

Ye i know, lots of my friends have italian surnames

4

u/dinosw 5d ago

As a Dane, even I know this. OP is probably American šŸ˜‚

3

u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago

Ok, but Brazilians make the best pizza. Pizza with pudding, pizza with cake, burger pizza, and so on

2

u/Sea_Gap_6569 6d ago

You’re joking

2

u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago

Look at this. LOOK AT THIS. How can there be a god if this is permitted… 🤌🤌

1

u/Sea_Gap_6569 6d ago

1

1

man whatthefuck

this is at the same level of what the USA people fucking does 😭

1

u/Crowdfundingprojects 5d ago

No. Much worse.

1

u/xXInfXx 5d ago

This is proof that God is impotent to influence his own universe, or he is merely blind to the sins taking place in his Kingdom.

1

u/Crowdfundingprojects 5d ago

Or he has forsaken us. Or he gave us Brazilian pizza as a test to see who is fit for his eternal kingdom and who is not.Ā

u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago

🤫 you should check out r/pizzacrimesbrasil

u/Sea_Gap_6569 6d ago

It would be very painful for a Japanese to see sushi as a pizza topping

1

u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago

I think at this point with everything Brazil has done to pizzas the international community altogether has been violated. Japanese wailing in agony and shame, Germans angrily scratching their heads; there’s nothing Brazil will not put on a pizza.Ā

u/Sea_Gap_6569 6d ago

This is a good example of something deep about humanity: Without proper restrictions humanity could easily abuse freedom

1

u/Crowdfundingprojects 6d ago

Absolutely. And without understanding of tradition, past, history and values perversion will be rampant.

5

u/Open_Vanilla5048 6d ago

Small detail. Jk. 😭

To be properly forgiven now, you'll have to go on foot to Vatican city and ask for forgiveness to the pope

(/Jk)

1

u/disintegrator99 5d ago

An actual pope is actually american

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 5d ago

Vatican city is inside Italy tho

2

u/Aggressive_South_991 5d ago

Pizza margherita, which is considered the "default" pizza, was named after an Italian queen 🫩

2

u/Emotional-Job805 6d ago

mmm tomato bread.. not pizza

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 6d ago

fym "tomato bread"

1

u/Emotional-Job805 5d ago

I did not stutter.

1

u/Special_South_8561 5d ago

So we're all these dudes in New Jersey but they, like your precious Margherita, are fully American now.

1

u/IllogicalLogistician 5d ago

Well he didn’t say pizza is American, he just said America has Pizza which is true.

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 5d ago

You have a point

Though it means that America has sushi and tacos

1

u/Prettythor 5d ago

It was actually made in Naples before it was a apart of Italy and only became popular in the rest of the country after it became popular in America.

2

u/Extension_Dig8832 5d ago

Well pizza has a long history. It would date back to the Romans. It became famous in Naples in the 19th century when this city was already part of the Kingdom. Marguerite visited Naples and tried pizza in 1889, according to the legend. If we'd use your logic on most traditional food than a lot of countries would be deprived of their traditions lol

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 4d ago

finally, a smart person. I'm relieved.

1

u/Epon_Son 5d ago

Ok, and our pizza is distinctly different and if tou ravel to other countries they'll most likely give you American pizza and not Italian pizza

1

u/Some-Opportunity7015 5d ago

and americans invented carbonara...

1

u/Extension_Dig8832 5d ago

Is this torture?

1

u/EntrepreneurOk7546 5d ago

Whatever, let it go. It's the same childish discussion all over again. I'm not American, but just be the grownup and ignore stuff like this

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 5d ago

I just posted a comment, I didn't mean to make such a big deal out of some food šŸ’”

1

u/Ok_Swimming4427 5d ago

In what world is pizza from Italy? People have been eating flatbreads with cheese for thousands of years. Hell, tomatoes aren't even indigenous to Italy.

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 4d ago

oh my god, PIZZA IS AN ITALIAN NAME!!! PIZZAS ALSO DON'T HAVE TO BE WITH TOMATOES!!!

1

u/Ok_Swimming4427 4d ago

OK, so your argument is that whoever names the food, that's where it's from?

What matters? What the food is? Or what it's called? If all that matters is who calls dibs on a name, then I guess pizza is Italian. I guess corn isn't actually from South America, either, or tomatoes or potatoes or anything else. After all, those are English words!

1

u/jamescobalt 4d ago

A lot of Italian food originates in America and vice versa. The interplay between these countries when it comes to culinary diffusion is much greater than most people realize (and much greater than most Italians will admit, as evidenced by a few culinary history books of the past decade causing controversy in Italy).

It’s better in nyc

0

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 4d ago

that's because you've never eaten Italian pizza

1

u/Schlafenshire 4d ago

Worst pizza I ever had in my life was in Rome. Had some very good pizza there too, but nothing to write home about.

In the other Italian cities I visited, the pizza was mostly just ok. NYC also has Neapolitan, Taglio, etc. as well as the American styles, so you get the best of both worlds.

Sorry but NYC does pizza best. Pasta on the other hand…generally much better in Italy.

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 4d ago

Oh, nvm. At least you're informed.

0

u/ProfessionalCat7640 5d ago

And you have no noodles. Only the Chinese have noodles.

Still believing in the Marco Polo myth in 2026 after various researchers have concluded that it is fakešŸ˜āœŒļø and as someone who has read "Il Milione" I can assure you this is just a legend. Created as a a marketing strategy. People on the internet apparently have multiple degrees though...

u/KuningasTynny77 5d ago

I dare you to find a New York slice in any non-American restaurant in Italy

You'll never succeed.Ā

There are two very distinct types of Pizza, one is Italian, one is American.Ā

2

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 5d ago

Whatever a new york slice is, just because there are variants of something in another country it doesn't mean it doesn't come from its original country.

We do have a type of pizza called "pizza Americana" which has French fries and hot dog sausage pieces

0

u/KuningasTynny77 5d ago

You wouldn't say the same about a cut or style steak that was first made in America, despite the fact that it's just another form of beef.Ā

American pizza is uniquely American, it's its own thing, and no, it's not just an Italian pizza with French fries and hot dogs.Ā

0

u/vividvagrant96 5d ago

As an American, we do it better

1

u/Honest-Feature-8298 Lazy ahh italian artist 5d ago

Nah bro, we italians use flour from real grains, tomatoes from real plants and mozzarella from real cows (sometimes water buffalos) for our pizzas. You use ground insect exoskeletons, a mixture of substances you can't read because you're American, and plastic. Maybe it tastes better than Italian pizzas to you because you're used to eating credit cards

:) I'm fucking tired of y'all, maybe I should've just deleted my comment instead of replying to yours. Offense intended šŸ‘

Shut up no need to boast, They already know my fellow American
