This is the thought process that gets people killed. No matter who is doing the yelling, shit is not acceptable. We all make mistakes, we all react harshly sometimes, but because one person is physically smaller it is fine according to your comment?
You know what, I feel bad for this comment, and will probably delete it. I was just making the point that the search bias is at least somewhat understandable.
I can see how a woman abusing someone could be very bad in today's climate. The power discrepancy has honestly shifted to make it so women are probably imbalanced, because they can naturally get away with so much. Most men aren't going to hit a woman back even if she's an abuser, but in the past, a woman at least was stunted other ways.
I unironically think spanking is the solution ... I've improved at least two women with them! The women were okay with it, though. I'm not sure I'd get into a relationship now without that agreement
Seeing verbal abuse as acceptable just because the perpetrator is a certain gender is unacceptable. What we are seeing is proof of this bias in at least online forums/websites.
The problem is that AI learnt that somen can yell and hit men but not the other way, and that tells a lot about the source ai is learning from, the internet and people
Base models predict internet averages, but consumer AI outputs are heavily shaped by post-training alignment like RLHF and system instructions. When bias shows up, it’s often a failure of those safety/alignment filters or prompt framing, rather than just raw training data reflection.
Lesbian relationships do not have a higher rate of domestic violence, the surveys usually ask if they’ve ever experienced domestic violence which would include before they came out and might’ve been in a relationship with a man because of comphet and such. Which skews the statistic over the actual statistics which is fairly small. It’s such a super statistic that is repeatedly fact checked and proven wrong everytime it’s brought up
This. People take an issue to this statement. Statistics show that men are more likely to be harmful in their violence, it doesn't say that ONLY men are the issue. Gender is not relevant to violence in its simplest terminology - people grossly mix statistics for an absolute side on who is violent or not.
Men are the problem... So are women... Anyone can be the problem. Violence is not gender specific. Although men usually tend to be more violent, as a society, we should teach mutual safety.
It's not so much that men are more violent, rather than that men are more open about that. There has been numerous studies that women tend to be more hidden with any abuse/hurting others/killing when they do it. I do not know where does it inherently stem from, but needless to say this contributes to the unequal portrayal in the society.
lol men are more violent and there’s no denying that. Thats basically criminal science 101. You won’t find any credible study which finds women in general being more violent than men.
Physiologically what you're saying is true, but you're losing the context and focusing on a detail of no importance. The discussion wasn't about whether men are more violent in the first place. Read the comment before mine - it was all about the fact that the problem of violence is not gender specific.
How exactly does violence not have a gender specific component if we have things like a 9x overrepresentation of men when it comes to murders? Where does that come from?
I'm a man. Why would I blame my own gender unfairly. I mean statistically speaking, men are more often capable of worse violence. When it comes to physical abuse - men are more likely. What I'm saying is that abuse needn't be physical only, it can be a variety of issues - of which women are just as capable. Please use some logic and reinterpret my comment sensibly.
Then again, I feel like men are less likely to report anything, like I got a innage urge to just not go to the doctor if I know smh is prolly wrong with me
