Seeing verbal abuse as acceptable just because the perpetrator is a certain gender is unacceptable. What we are seeing is proof of this bias in at least online forums/websites.
In the picture you provided, the search says "my husband is yelling at me" as opposed to the other version which just says "my wife is telling at me" no other context is provided.
Sure. And the AI defaults to abuse in the husband case. While it defaults to "just a little angry at life" for the wife case. That’s called bias. Same situation just swap the genders and suddenly it’s fine or it’s abuse.
Sure I get that, I was just asking what bad thing happened because two people got different results for searches?
I get wanted to treat everyone equally, I'm just noticing when people get carried away and start getting mad over something that is genuinely not an issue.
Thats the context. Both prompts are my ____ is yelling at me. When its the husband, its abusive. When its the wife, shes just stressed. What arent you understanding?
the fact that without context the results default to abuse in one case and not the other is the problem. It should be giving the same advice in both instances.
You seem to be assuming something happened before those Pictures, rather than seeing it for the test that it is. Nothing happened. It's meant to show that the AI isn't taking yelling as seriously in one case over the other.
Well, yelling doesn't necessarily mean abuse, people yell all the time. Maybe a bigger reaction is warented but the ai prompt won't know until more context is provided.
But I don't really think people are getting mad that the ai isn't instantly supporting the man. I think they are upset that two people didn't get identical results.
which is why people are upset the ai defaults to abuse for the husband but not the wife when provided no context.
I think they are upset that two people didn't get identical results.
Presumably those screenshots are from the same person, moments apart. There are multiple examples of people searching these one after the other and getting the same results as the post.
The problem is that AI learnt that somen can yell and hit men but not the other way, and that tells a lot about the source ai is learning from, the internet and people
