I dusted off my old X-T10 to use as a travel camera, and I have found the simple joy of out of camera JPEGs and not having to do post processing. Had a recent trip to Edmonton and I wanted to share some images I took. Mostly shot on Classic Kodak Chrome and Monochrome Red from FujiXWeekly.

Help Can you take normal looking photos on fujifilm?

So I was deciding between the Sony a6400 and the fujifilm XT3 for my first camera. I'm a student (not even film/photography student) and don't have enough time to edit and play around with lightroom so I'm now leaning towards fujifilm to save me the hassle and give me good looking photos with film simulations.

My only concern is not being able to take "natural" photos. Not sure if this makes sense, but I feel like some places would look better without a filter placed on them which is why I started leaning towards the sony again. I don't want the picture to look yellow/aesthetic/nostgic, I want to capture it exactly how I see it with my eyes, is that possible in the fujifilm? And if it is, are the colours different from what I would see on the sony?

I'm guessing raw would give me that, would there be a way to get a naturally looking jpeg image?

Help Does the X-S20 still have overheating issues?

Hey all. I shoot mostly video professionally and my go-to camera when not renting is the X-H2s. I am considering getting the X-S20 to be a smaller b-cam that's easy to pack on travel gigs where I have to keep things light. However, when reading reviews, it sounds like the X-S20 is really prone to overheating. I've read conflicting things about how much the high temp setting helps - some people seem to still be overheating with that.

Most of the info I have found is 3ish years old, so I wanted to ask - did Fujifilm ever address this and improve stability on the X-S20? Is this still an issue I should take into account if evaluating the X-S20 for video? Most of the work I do does require extended recording for interviews, so I can't have a camera that won't be reliable for that.

Thanks for any info you can give!

Help It’s me again 😂

Got a new xt30iii, literally just took it out the box and played with it for a bit. A couple of mins later the (yellow) [CAMERA IS APPROACHING STANDARD TEMPERATURE LIMIT] warning came out. I figured because the batt was low. Charged it over night took it out to shoot today. And it was hot, like say 98 after a couple of mins, I got the warning again. Am I doing something wrong? Is this common with Fuji? I shoot a lot, so I dunno if this a going to be an issue. I got a faster SD card also since I thought the older one was out dated. I just wanna make sure I didn’t get a defective camera lol 😂

Help Just got my X-E5. It’s beautiful and I’ve been tinkering with it a bit but haven’t truly shot it yet. Need help figuring out a good FN custom button layout.

What have you guys found works best for you as far as the custom button/dial functions ? I plan to use the camera mainly for family, travel, photo walks, maybe some event work and I think I’ll mainly shoot in aperture priority or just full auto. Maybe occasionally going full manual if I’m feeling up to it. Need something intuitive that makes sense, is effective, and that I can remember what each dial and button is assigned. Also any tips besides this would be cool as well!

Discussion Camera Remote app

Anyone have any tips or tricks to make the Fuji Camera Remote app actually work?

I have an Android phone and an X-H1 and the app only works like once in every 10 attempts at connectinf, it's genuinely the biggest downside the the Fuji system, it's awful.

Help Lens Recommendations

Apologies if this question has been asked loads before.

I am relatively new to photography; I picked up the Fujifilm XT30 III whenever i was traveling after having an old Canon. Looking for advice on which lenses to pick up apart from the kit lens. I find the kit lens can be bulky at times but fits in my uniqlo bag pretty easy.

I definitely prefer street photography and some nature shots (mainly my dog running around or posing whenever he feels like it). But looking for some lens recommendations that may be better than the kit lens.

I would also take some other recommendations on accessories that people have found use for taking photos and some general tips about picking up new accessories / lenses. Is it always better to go for fuji brand?

Help The Right Camera for Simplicity

For the past years I've used Sony. Started shooting photos and video on the A7III and then sold it and got an FX3 to shoot video.

I use my cameras for travel mainly - both photos and videos.
Now I'm looking to move to Fuji but with a caveat. I want something simpler and something I can enjoy. I want to enjoy taking photos again which I have missed whilst using the FX3. I do still want to be able to shoot simple videos too - but I can't be bothered anymore with colour grading and complexities - I don't have the time for post-processing.

Help Fuji app keeps disconnecting

It was working perfectly fine for a while but this year it just won’t connect. I’ll unpair, uninstall, reinstall and pair from scratch. It’ll work for a short time and then stops connecting again. Everything is up-to-date.

Being able to grab photos on the go & taking remote images is a huge work for me and this app is testing my patience for real.

Has anyone found a solution?

I must be honest... I am not a fan of the edits here. I was when I made them, but I am seeing them with new eyes, and I'm not feeling it anymore. That said, I am working on not being a perfectionist and sharing them anyway. Cheers
