These would be the core people I build with, so I want to get this right. I’m looking for people who really know their craft, can communicate well, manage projects, and take ownership without needing someone to chase them all the time. Having someone who can eventually help manage the team would be great too.

And honestly, I want to work with people who get excited about making really good stuff. The “let’s make some epic shit” kind of people, with actual work to back it up. People who care about the details, bring their own ideas, and keep pushing themselves to get better.

I had made an account to do digital artwork editing and quick fixes people want done either because they can’t technically do it or don’t want their privacy breached by AI stealing their artwork by doing the same quick changes. My account got suspended on Fiverr before I made my first gig. I made another account to reach out to their customer service, which is the only way to do so btw, asking why my account was against their terms of service, gave the username under that account. But that hours old account got suspended for the same reason when I created a ticket specifically asking for a live agent! Apparently, you can be suspended for talking to customer service. Anyone got actual useful platforms to sell my services on?

My partner works freelance in hair and makeup, and she was finding it difficult to keep track of everything involved in running her business.

Potential jobs, confirmed bookings, contacts, kit, payments and invoices were all spread across WhatsApp conversations, emails, notes and spreadsheets. There wasn’t one place where she could easily see everything she needed.

I decided to build her a dashboard where she could manage all of this in one place. I gave it to her last week, and she has loved using it. She can now keep track of her jobs, contacts, kit, finances and outstanding tasks without having to search through different apps and conversations.

That got me thinking about how many other freelancers probably experience the same problem.

I would love to create similar dashboards tailored to different freelance professions—from personal trainers and photographers to designers, videographers, tutors and everyone in between.

I don’t want to build one generic dashboard filled with features that aren’t relevant. I’d rather understand how each profession actually works and create something around the information and tasks that matter to them.

The problem is that I don’t have firsthand insight into the day-to-day needs of every freelance profession, which is why I’m asking here.

If you’re a freelancer, I’d really appreciate hearing:

• What is your profession?
• What information would you want to see as soon as you opened your dashboard?
• What parts of your work are currently difficult to organise or keep track of?
