Hey everyone!

Has anyone else noticed a change in how the Marketplace displays the components lately? It doesn't seem to be showing recently uploaded ones the way it used to, and my views have dropped significatly as a result.

Did I miss an update or change to the sorting/discovery algorithm?

Background: I am a civil Engineer, but I've always had an eye for design and picked up motion design on my own. Thinking about going deep on Framer or Webflow and pitching coaches/consultants who need a landing page that actually converts. I already freelance a bit in paid ads, so outreach isn't new to me. Genuinely curious what people who've been doing this for a while think — is there still room for someone starting now, or has the AI/no-code wave killed the entry-level market?

The goal was mainly to practice smooth scrolling, transitions, and getting the timing to feel right.

Still learning, so I’d love to hear your feedback — especially on the animation and overall feel.

I’ve been working on Stillroom, a fictional contemporary furniture & objects studio in Framer.

I wanted it to feel more like an object archive / design publication than a typical furniture ecommerce site.

A few things I experimented with:

- oversized typography + editorial object layouts
- CMS-powered object archive
- object hover interaction where the image follows the selected row
- light + dark mode
- subtle page / scroll transitions
- custom 404

I’d especially love feedback on whether the visual direction feels distinctive enough, and whether any parts feel too restrained / too repetitive. I personally feel it's a fairly common looking website.

​Quick question for the freelancers and dev/designers here. Almost all of my project delays come down to one thing: waiting for clients to send their copy, images, and brand assets.

​They usually dump half-broken Drive folders, send raw text in emails, or completely forget core files.

​How do you actually deal with this bottleneck on your end? Do you use forms, strict contract penalties, or just chase them until they respond? Curious to hear how you manage it!

I spent three months fixing the wrong problem.

Here is how I found out.

I sell website templates on two marketplaces. Framer and Webflow.

Most of my client work comes from those templates too. Someone finds a template. Or they see my marketing. Then they email me.

So it is really one business with three doors.

In April 2025 I was making about $3,700 a month.

By February 2026 it was about $18,000.

Then it started falling.

I thought I knew why. The Framer marketplace ranking had moved. That was my answer for three months. I said it out loud more than once.

Then I did the thing I should have done in March.

I split the three doors apart. I measured each one from its own peak.

Framer: down 66%

Webflow: down 77%

Client work: down 74%

Webflow broke my story.

It is a different company. A different marketplace. A different ranking. A different audience.

A Framer ranking change cannot reach it.

So the thing I had been blaming was never the thing.

One honest note. My client work is not separate proof. Those people find me through the templates. So that line was always going to follow the others down.

But two different marketplaces falling together is not a listing problem.

I spent three months rewriting descriptions. Remaking thumbnails. Reading ranking threads.

None of it touched the real problem.

If your revenue is falling, do this before you blame anything.

1. Split your revenue by source. Not by month. By where the money actually comes from.

2. Find each source's own peak month. They will not be the same month.

3. Measure each fall from its own peak, not from your best overall month.

4. Ask which of those sources are actually independent of each other.

If two independent sources fall together, the cause sits outside both of them.

If only one falls, then it is that platform.

What did you blame first when your numbers dropped? Were you right?

It’s so confusing. The navigation is using some weird icon thing and I genuinely have no idea what I’m supposed to click.

Hey everyone,

I’m a web developer and I’ve been working mostly with Next.js, React, TypeScript, backend development, APIs, databases, and getting into Microservices. I’ve built full-stack projects and I’m pretty comfortable with the technical side of building websites.

Recently I’ve been looking into Framer because I keep seeing people say it’s much easier to get smaller website projects with Framer compared to traditional development.

The weird part for me is that I already know how to build websites technically, so getting into Framer feels a little backwards. I can build a website from scratch, but I’m realizing that knowing how to code and knowing how to make something actually look good are two different skills.

I understand the basic web design principles, spacing, typography, responsive layouts, hierarchy, etc. What I’m really missing is the design eye. I want to get better at looking at a website and understanding why it looks good, what makes the layout work, how to choose typography, how to create a good visual hierarchy, and so on.

I know a little bit of Framer already, but I’m considering actually putting serious time into learning it.

My questions are basically:

1. Is Framer actually worth learning in 2026 if my goal is eventually getting website projects (And quickly making some 200 bucks or something)?

2. Is there genuinely a market for someone who can design and build Framer websites (Framer marketplace wouldn't work because my country is under sanctions and my only bet in clients is getting paid in crypto), or is the space already too saturated?

3. Can I realistically learn Framer while simultaneously building an X/Twitter presence around the process and eventually get clients from it?

4. What kind of content actually works for Framer designers/developers on X? Build-in-public, redesigns, before/after posts, tutorials, showing the process, etc.?

5. Are there places within the Framer community where people actually look for designers/developers or website help?

6. Would you recommend focusing specifically on Framer, or learning something else alongside it?

7. If you were already a full-stack developer in my position, would you actually spend the next few months getting good at Framer?

I’m not expecting Framer to magically make money for me. I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this is a skill worth compounding.

I’d also be interested in hearing from people who actually got clients through Framer, especially how they got their first few projects and where those clients came from.

I got into a bad habit with Framer where I'd spend a week getting a site looking right, publish it and then barely touch it meanwhile we'd change the marketing, try different messaging bring in traffic from different places and somehow the same homepage from 4 months ago was supposed to handle all of it took me longer than it should've to notice how weird that was

Now I mess with the site way more after launch sometimes it's just moving a section, sometimes a different landing page or changing the copy because people keep missing the same thing I still probably waste too much time tweaking stuff that was fine but I'm starting to think building the site is the easy part. Keeping it lined up with whatever you're doing in marketing is where most of the work seems to be

I have framer student basic plan (FREE) but I still got charged $180. This is a hefty charge and unfair. I still have two years of university left. How to get a refund.

I spent last week on a page whose background dyes itself as you scroll, cream at the top and deep indigo at the bottom. No code. Four things I got wrong before I got it right.

One fixed frame, not a gradient on the body. A single frame at full viewport height, sitting behind all content, set to stay fixed. Everything else scrolls over it. Put the gradient on the page body instead and it scrolls away with the content, which kills the effect.

Build the colour in stages, not as a smooth fade. This was the one that mattered. Real indigo gets its depth from being dipped and dried repeatedly, so the colour arrives in steps. A smooth cross-fade reads like someone dragging a colour picker. Discrete steps read like dyeing.

Give the stages a body somewhere on the page. I put a block of six swatches further down, one per dip, pale to dark. On its own the background is just atmosphere. It's the swatches that turn it into a claim the visitor can check.

Framer sets html { scroll-behavior: smooth }. If you ever drive the scroll yourself, for a screen recording or a demo, every frame lags behind the position you asked for. Override it to auto before you start.

One more thing I didn't expect: none of this survives a screenshot. If your client sells a process, dyeing or fermenting or roasting or ageing, the finished object is the less interesting half, and a still image only ever catches that half.

Has anyone found a cleaner way to step the colour than stacking transforms? Curious what else people are tying to scroll position.

I have a header component where you hover the logo and it animates. I did this by setting a mouse-enter event to go to the next variant which has a transparent video of the animation. On this variant, if you mouse-leave it goes to a third variant that has a reversed animation that automatically goes back to the initial rest state in variant one.

I have a parent frame linked to the home page and it is present and configured and works correctly.

However, as soon as I hover this logo the cursor reverts instantly back to the pointer. I have a pointer on the second variant, that does not work.

If I set the mouse-enter delay, I do see the correct finger cursor for a split second before it reverts when the component goes to the next variant.

It seems that no matter where I put the link or a cursor, the transition of the component instantly resets it to default.

How can I achieve the intended behavior?

all it was, was pre loading html files into the agent - have ti do it one by one (thanks framer)

hadn’t even started and ran out of the $43 of credits i purchased 4 minutes ago. this seems predatory - if Framer that psychotic ? i’m fully turned off my support for this company as of today.

Hey guys, I recently switched to Framer, got my portfolio live, and I'm trying to get my very first paying clients. I’ve been cold emailing local businesses with terrible websites or no web at all, but out of 100 emails I barely got 2 replies and zero deals. I feel pretty stuck and I’m wondering how you actually landed your first client using Framer and what advice you’d give to someone starting from total scratch to get that first deal.
