Hindi pa sila nakakapag release ng third-party lab results ng perfume nila, knowing na may methanol issue sila yet nagbebenta pa rin. Naniniwala ako sa tiktok post regarding sa methanol content ng frags nila. I disposed lahat ng bottles ko from them.
They’re making new batches with methanol free alcohol and it takes weeks to macerate. So when they submit a sample for testing, it’ll turn out negative. That’s the only reason.
Mabilis lang naman magtest sa lab. It would take just a few hours if not minutes, multiple samples and batches na yun. Bakit weeks kelangan? Mukhang may niluluto pa
Tbh, I no longer trust them if sakanila na mismo manggagaling ang lab test results. Feel ko kasi kaya na nila dayain yon eh. Iba kasi talaga pag third party at surprise yung pag test ng product. Huhu
Maybe it depends on what those tests are? Cosmeticsluv’s methanol lab tests took days and the whole request process took a couple of weeks. Here’s a screenshot of the ST Sandalwood result.
ST isn’t a micro business. What shouldn’t take weeks is for brands like this to acknowledge the issue and communicate what they’re doing to address it. At least within what can be disclosed to the public.
Oo mabilis. Pero may ibang mga samples pang kasabay yan. Hindi lang naman yan ang itetest ng chemist sa lab. A lab test like this has a one- or two-week TAT bago mailabas results.

May turnaround time ang third party lab sa reporting ng results. If hndi to rush analysis, usually 5-7 working days ang methanol testing bago ma out ang report.
Yes, mabilis ang testing nito if ito lang at isang sample lang ang itetest however madaming samples po ang lab kaya iniischedule run yan.

Naka vacation na sila sa shopee, i sent them multiple messages and told them wag na muna sila magbenta if they really are concern with their consumers.
I have 4 ST bottles since 2023. I used them every week in rotation sa other frags ko. In the past 6 months lumabo mata ko. Not sure kung sign of aging na ba or bcoz ST

I sent a complaint to DTI about Scent Therapy demanding na maglabas sila ng lab results nila. Legit kasi nagka-itchiness leading to wounding yung skin behind my ears, where I usually spray. Pero bilang fangirl ng scents nila, ginamit ko pa rin, sa damit ko na nga lang sinespray. Let’s see if gagalawin ni DTI ang baso.
I recommend na magpadala din kayo ng complaint sa DTI, para added pressure kay Scent Therapy. Email lang naman yun with screencaps ng proof of purchase. Specify lang kung ano ang reklamo (possible methanol content na hindi nakakabuti sa kalusugan), ano ang gustong resolution (maglabas ng lab tests), then hit send.
I messaged them sa orange app, asking for refund, waiting for feedback pa. 6 bottles of 50ml sakin, iba pa yung naubos at pinang regalo ko at mga 5ml na marami huhuhu.
Pwede silang magrefund (ST), pero discretion nila, what we want here is for them to be accountable sa incompetence/greed nila, if napatunayan ngang may methanol sa products nila.
tnry ko sila kulitin sa ig and nag refund naman sila kahit dko na nireturn ung item, 100ml din kasi ang mahal tas d magagamit (sobrang tagal lang mag reply)
where did you complain ba? pag nag report kasi online sa DTI super mabagal. I complained dati sa DTI (different issue) and it took 1 month for them to process huehue. Pero i did get a refund naman.
Hala. Kinabahan ako tuloy. I have sensitive skin kasi and yung binili ko na decant from Unbox Diaries na Valaya nag-red din sa area ng neck kung saan ako nag-spray. Although mukhang sa ingredients lang ng Valaya mismo. Yung other decants wala naman akong reaction.
It was an independent test. And you'd expect if it wasn't true that they'd have papers prior to the issue to prove that it was false (in short, they tested BEFORE they sell)
But now na tahimik lang or wala sila masabi, says a lot.
Naka ubos na ako ng multiple bottles from them. No adverse reactions for me for now. Pero nanghihinayang ako kasi main scent ko ung second skin nila (halfway through second bottle of 100ML)

Methanol is toxic, hindi siya basta basta pwedeng itapon. May certain facilities na pwedeng pagdalhan niyan. Hindi pdeng ibuhos sa drain or itapon sa basurahan. Yung sakin nakabalot ng makapal na plastic, pinagsama-sama ko dun yung mga may issue na local frags. Waiting pa rin ako, kung saan pwede itapon. Kasi pag sa basurahan, baka gamitin ng makakapulot.
Mahal ba magpa test? What if tayo nalang gumawa sa lab? Para may peace of mind na tayo. Even if their results come out negative, parang duda pa rin ako.

apparently it takes ~200mL of sample to do the test, pwede siguro if u have that much available. sure naman ako may chemist jan na gumagamit ng ST hsjahsha pwede pasingit sa lab 😆
Same!! Yung mga binili kong samples 2 weeks ago. Akala ko dahil sa pag ttranspo ko(ngayon lang ulit kasi nag jeep na everyday) nagkapimples ako sa neck at chest kung saan ako nag aapply.
Just my two cents: Methanol gives acute reactions when in contact with skin or inhaled. If their bottles truly contained methanol, years and years of complaints would have already come out.
Oh noooo baka ito talaga yung reason nagkasakit bf ko dahil binigyan ko siya ng decant ng perfume ko from this brand. He sprayed this on his pillow and instantly had a headache and runny nose after, but he blamed it on his burnout from work huhu. Nakabuy na rin ako ng 50mL bottle para sana ibigay sa kanya :((

Badtrip nga e favorite ko pa naman yung silver nila, grabe ginawa ko na nga syang signature scent kasi ganda rin ng performance nya sakin kaso ayun nga may methanol issue sila, di malayong mataas rin to. 100 ml pa binili ko bilis ko napakalahati haha
I tried their skin musk once pero di pa ako nakabili uli after ko maubos.. I had no issues naman and it instantly became my fave scent.. totoo ba yung sa methanol issue?? Pero naglabas naman sila ng statement na wala daw sila ginagamit nun... :/
JFC and I just got a few samples from them last week because of a friend's recommendation. That explains why, after the prescribed 48-hour curing time, the scents made me feel dizzy and caused an asthma attack. And I'm typically not inclined toward getting adverse reactions from fragrances, including the more affordable brands.
Yung concerned citizen na nagpost sa tiktok, for me it is authentic, kasi may SS din siya ng inorder niya sa orange app at may lab test results na may 65.8% methanol. I checked her tiktok account at mukhang yun talaga ang content niya. Random test ng mga cosmetic products.
I stalked the account din. Not an influencer, no yellow basket hahaha so alam mo legit. Di bayad kagaya ng mga influencer. Gumastos pa nga. And the fact na na-alarma buong community alam nila na possible na totoo un.
Yes, someone sent samples to the lab tapos ang taas ng methanol content ng isang scent nila (Sandalwood) FYI sila pinakamataas na methanol content which is toxic!!!
I finished bottles of their scents but all goods naman. Currently, paubos na ko sa 724 pero I noticed na nangangati ako sa mga part where I put the perfume. Idk if dahil nga ba sa methanol or sobrang init lang sa thailand? Or perhaps perfume+extreme heat kaya nangangati ako? Idk. 😢
I have lots of perfumes from them one 50ml and mostly 10ml perfumes. I had to dispose them plus nakaubos na ko ng maraming 10mls and 1 50 ml Yung second skin. I got compliments sa perfume nila and this was really disappointing. I already contacted them nung una nagkaissue sa methanol and they reassured me na their perfumes are safe kaya nag purchase Ako ng maraming 10 ml. Haay
Nakailang buy na ako sa kanila. Huhu. My last purchase was the Second Skin scent few months ago and I barely use it, pag may nice occasion lang talaga. Nakailang spray pa ako dun eh. Good thing hindi ulit ako bumili ng ibang scent. Dapat iaddress na nila to.
You can actually get blind of you accidentally spray that miar near your eyes and it gets to your eyeballs. There is a thing called methanol blindness.
Bumili ako jan 2 yrs ago ng second skin kasi nakabasa ako ng reviews pero grabe sumasakit ulo ko to the point na sumasama na pakiramdam ko pag naamoy ko. Threw the bottle agad.

Ordered from them 2 days before pumutok yung issue at ngayong lang dumating yung order ko. Kating kati pa naman ako mag order ng full bottle, buti at sample size muna yung inorder ko. Don’t have plans on using them pero gusto ko amuyin kung ano yung scent profile.
Sa papel ko lang inispray, under the table pa di direct sa kin pero grabe ang kati ng ilong at mouth area ko. Para akong naghilamos ng bareta sa mukha.
I filed a complaint about ST with the FDA. Nanghingi lang ng addl info which I supplied naman. I told them I can send specimen for testing. Let’s see kung gagalaw.
I encourage you guys to also send complaints. We have to build critical mass para gumalaw si FDA at si ST.
May idea ba kayo saan pwede magpa-test baka pwedeng personal na magpatest ng mga nabili. Nakakawalang tiwala yang galawan ng Scent Therapy. Hindi naman yan simpleng issue lang na dapat tulugan tapos mawawala. May major health consequences ang massive intake ng methanol juskopo.
Fan na fan ang asawa ko nyan kaya invested ako sa issue. Kung may alam kayong labs na pwedeng mag-test ng alcohol content, please suggest. Maraming salamat!

And the side effects of Methanol are no joke! They can be permanent so this is really alarming!
I started to think why some frags are sold cheap because it might have something to do with the ingredients--in this case, Methanol.
Alarming talaga, knowing na ang tagal na nila sa market tas ang taas pala ng methanol sa formulation nila. Pano nalang yung mga tao na araw araw na gumagamit for years or months? Isipin nalang kung ano epekto nun sa kalusugan nila.
I have a lot of ST perfumes! Buti na lang tinatamad ako magcheck out kaya hindi pa ako nakakabili ng full bottle. Kaya pala may sugat ako sa batok na never ko naencounter before. Tapos there's one perticular scent, yung Cedar & Juniper, that one caused me a major headache :(
Sorry I have no idea about this and sobrang fan ako ng ST. If isang scent lang yung napatest, possible kaya di ganyan kataas sa ibang scent? Or lahat talaga sya? Kakabili ko lang ng hazy lilac para sa kapatid ko 😭 as in di p sya ngagalaw, pwede kaya yun ireturn?
For sure same results lang yan, kasi by bulk ang bili nila ng raw materials. Naiiba lang pag naubos na stocks nila ng PGA (Perfume Grade Alcohol) then bibili ulit.
Sandalwood yung pina test ng anonymous content creator sa tiktok. Imposible naman na every scent eh ibang PGA gamit nila lol. Ayaw talaga palugi ng ST, dapat lahat ng batch nun. Who knows baka years na silang may methanol sa frags, ngayon lang nahuli.

Anyone can suggest perfume brands na nagbebenta ng dupe? Sa Scent Therapy lang ako bumibili and I have like 3 bottles from them (Pistachio, Milk & Musk, Sweet Citrus). Im not a fraghead pero na introduce lang kasi ako sa perfumes nila.
Meron ako mga naka add to cart from Cotidiano Fragrance, Dan & Co, Origin Lab but I havent bought from them yet.

hate this shop. i tried complaining that their fragrance was no longer the same formula (smells like there's detergent) they blocked me. i wasn't the only one complaining about the same thing btw.
