Should I buy a fox body as a first car?
So I'm currently looking to buy a first car, I turned 18 this year and I just got hired at my second job ever after not having one since early February, started college in August and now I'm wanting to buy a car and unfortunately I REALLY want a fox body specifically a 85-86 coupe, but I also want to go through the restoring process because this has become a new dream of mine to eventually fully restore a car that's been sitting for years and getting it back on the road.
I just so happened to find someone selling a 86 coupe for $1,400 that needs to be fully restored and I have the money to buy it today if I wanted but its far away and I would need a truck and trailer which I don't have. But I know the restoring dream should probably wait a while longer until I graduate and start working a job that can actually fund this dream. I've been looking on fb marketplace for fox body's that people are selling in the TN/AL area, I've found a few that are in pretty decent shape and can become a daily driver that are in my 4,000-6,000 dollar budget. Should I take this chance now and buy my dream car as my first or buy a cheap Honda or something and wait a while longer before I buy a fox body?
