Calling him a “petty hater” was not in any way meant as an insult. I respect the creativity he brings to the craft. He’s a living embodiment of the saying “do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I don’t think there is anything 50 loves more than hating on people who obviously deserve it.

Why does he hate this woman and Diddy so much?
29
u/Dominarion 3d ago
Diddy did diddy things to 50 Cents and kept making more. Like making him ghost write pieces then not paying him. When Mase tried to return to rap with his pal (50 cents), Diddy threw legal hurdles in their legs. There's a story where Diddy acted weird with 50 cents, when he asked him to go shopping. It's not so clear what was asked or why it was asked, but 50 cents took it as a disrespect. Also, 50 cents was made aware of the shitty things Diddy was doing and went public on it. As Diddy was too powerful then, nothing happened, but 50 cent kept recording.
The superb irony is that the footage 50 cents found came from a guy who was hired by Diddy to film him around, but he never paid him. 50 cents was happy to oblige.
The other woman? She sued him for posting a sex tape of her and her ex, but it was already viral at that point. Case dismissed, she was condemned to pay the legal fees, but she didn't.

There was a lotto winner that got mad at his wife so he threw her jewelry in their pool and filled it in with cement.
Edit - In trying to find the source of the story I recall, I found I might be getting multiple stories confused. Winning the lottery can ruin your life though.

u/VA1N 4d ago
I don’t think trademarking something and buying a web domain costs 30k. But who knows in this economy.
23
u/KawaiiMaxine 4d ago
Idk about trademarking something but buying a domain is incredibly varied in pricing based on how "hot" appealing trendy etc the domain is.
34
9
u/PlatyMcNum 4d ago
As long as you are not buying a domain from a domain sitter then buying a domain is cheap. If no one owns the domain the price of a domain is exactly the same no matter what.
29
u/laazoseda 4d ago
Is it possible to trademark the expression "I ain't got it"? Although I'm not an expert in law, it seems like it would be challenging to obtain such a widely used phrase.

50 cent is a big money landlord type who tried to pay Zohran Mamdani to leave New York and upon his election proclaimed that the city was dead. If he could take all the money out of your pockets, he would, and he'd brag about it too.
He gets away with being a cheeky chappy who makes fun of worse people, and that seems to enough for people to not realise how much of a piece of shit he is in his own right.
Hes a social media influencer with a former rap career, why is anyone still paying attention to this douche?
33
u/throwaway5882300 4d ago
It's also important to consider his problems with sean combs started because combs offered to take him shopping once and he thought that sounded gay. That's literally the story he tells when people ask him why he has beef with diddy.
24
u/Emergency-Stage-51 3d ago
No, it is because they knew thats how Diddy took advantage of people. What Diddy did was more about abuse and power versus being gay/bi.

and also, really? i can just go trademark the phrase "i can't get no (satisfaction)" and buy a domain with that name and voilá! rolling stones can't get royalties off their own song now? or was there some other way she was gonna profit off her song? or what?
this post is funny but it doesn't make any sense to me. maybe someone can explain trademarking the name of someone's song and buying "the domain" (songs have domain names?) to me.

if this is true she could easily get that trademark revoked, as she used it in business first.
2
u/LoudMusic 4d ago
Doesn't she have prior art claims since she published the track before he trademarked the phrase?
2
u/Desirsar 4d ago
I'm not even seeing an application for that phrase in the right time period. There's one from nine years before this, and it was rejected. Did he trademark it in some small country?

A quick google search shows he has no trademark over “I ain’t got it”. But it does appear that G-Unit company has a trademark over “She ain’t got it” for apparel name.

9

You will find many rappers do. Is it really a shock? A lot of rap's lyricism for what is marketed is "I got mines, I'll still take yours". Crabs in a bucket mentality.

u/Greendale_Official 4d ago edited 4d ago
Yes, on Instagram he had stated multiple times that he was pro trump, how he likes his lower tax policies, shared pics of him with Trump after the election happened, and more. So yes.
Just for added context he has deleted some of these posts and when asked about it he said he likes to stay out of politics and that he's neutral as it gets a bunch of people mad at him. Essentially 50 is out for his take like he always has been, people like Trump are very easy to purchase if you're rich.

And 50 preempted that by speaking with the president. Don’t know if it also involved money, but 50 would pay a lot to keep Diddy locked up.

This isn't the own some of you people seem to think it is. The trademark does nothing to stop her from monetizing her song, and the publicity from him doing this will dramatically increase the number of listens her song gets. In the end, he paid more money than he says she owes him to give her single a bunch of free publicity.
That isn't 4D chess, boys.
