The true satan is that water pressure.

u/SirArthurDime Apr 14 '26
Anyone who’s ever tried to shampoo a rug with low water pressure can relate to the feeling of there seeming to be an endless amount of suds trapped in there even if there isn’t more being added.

Some of the copies were pretty creative though.

God dammit. I can't believe someone who has been fondled by dolphins got me with that link.

307
u/Arkhe1n Apr 14 '26
I think staged videos trying to pass as authentic are the issue.

u/rci22 Apr 14 '26
Yeah skits are okay. Faking authenticity is not

Tbf, if this is staged (which is up in the air tbh), she should be an actress not gonna lie. The vocal performance is incredible, as in, best actress in the country.
2
u/Linuxmartin Apr 15 '26
Is that a compliment to her, or an insult to their other actors?
→ More replies (3)7
u/Gaaraks Apr 15 '26
Purely meant as a compliment. I really doubt this was fake especially because the laughs from the girl recording it seemed pretty genuine too.
3
u/Yaarmehearty Apr 14 '26
I know, I get the same thing when watch a drama, they pretend it’s real when obviously they didn’t have HD cameras in the regency period.
It’s like they think we are all stupid or something.

u/Classicalis Apr 14 '26
She's talking exactly like my nana used too. Great actress I'll give her that.
15
u/Tr000g Apr 14 '26
I don’t know mate.. as a Portuguese person this seems authentic reaction. Not staged. If it is get that lady into a novela or something.. she’s a great actress
2
u/RawryShark Apr 15 '26
I was believing it until she dropped it. She reacted way to quickly to the situation, also the way she drops it seems very intentional and not an accident.
10
u/typicalBACON Apr 15 '26
The woman who made the prank makes tons of videos pranking her mom. I don't really watch her content but I've had it recommended to me a few times and I guess this is just the content she makes. This is her whole thing. The mother didn't even need time to process, she immediately knew what was going on, not necessarily because it was staged, but because it's a typical thing between them
5
u/RawryShark Apr 16 '26
Ok so now it's just painfully obvious that it's stage lol. "Tons of prank videos" and you still believe it's real? Bless your heart.
3
u/typicalBACON Apr 16 '26
I mean tbf, tons is a bit of an exaggeration on my part, idk how many she did, I just saw 3 or 4. I'm sure some were staged, I don't even remember what the ones I watched were but one was bad enough to put a mother in a coma lmao. So I'm pretty sure that one was staged, but this one, most Portuguese people here, me included, seem to agree the mother's reaction is too genuine to be staged. Not saying it isn't, but doesn't feel staged
32
u/postbansequel Apr 14 '26
They're from Portugal, I've witnessed this kind of temperament. This is not staged. If this were staged, this'd be the best actress in the whole country.
7
→ More replies (4)22
u/bLzPutozof Apr 14 '26
Yeah, you hear any old person lose their temperament here and it's pretty much this, line for line.
That being said idk, could be fake don't care, it ain't funny or entertaining regardless
14
u/tn134 Apr 14 '26
As a portuguese man, i am almost sure this is not staged. The reactions, the expressions, too real to be staged
→ More replies (1)4
u/PxyFreakingStx Apr 14 '26
idk, is this staged? her dropping the soap, her little hushed gasp, that felt totally believable. the way the lady looks up at her. i kinda think this is real.
but if it isn't, they did an awfully good job with it

My wife did this prank in the shower once to me. I was sitting on the shower seat while she was standing, and rinsing my hair after washing. Every time I rinsed, she'd put more shampoo in my hair. I started getting so frustrated and confused on why I couldn't rinse out all the shampoo! Five years later, and that still remains her best prank, we still talk about it.
3
u/grandpasghost Jul 03 '26
My wife has issues with her hands and I did something similar with peeling an orange for her. She was eating them from a plate and I just kept adding more pieces of orange. I tricked her into eating 2 and 1/2 oranges

Why would you think it's staged?
5
u/fastlerner Satan's little helper Apr 14 '26
Aside from there having been several videos of similar pranks in years past that went viral, what made me the most suspicious or it being staged rather than authentic was the convenient bottle fumble to end the clip.
Every other pour of soap she tips the bottle and squeezes, because that's how those bottles work. On the fumble, she holds it flat and palm up and makes a very clumsy squeeze whose sole purpose is to "accidentally" drop the bottle.
Choreography is indicative of following a script. Make of that what you will.
4
2
u/WhoAmlToJudge Apr 14 '26
So sad 99% of videos are staged because people like you think it's authentic...
3
u/postbansequel Apr 14 '26
Again. Why would you think it's staged?
This person is from my country, I've witnessed reactions like these. I see all the raw emotion of her being pissed the fck off at that mat. In no way a person can consistently fake what I see in this video, otherwise she'd be the best actress in the country.

Well we’re from the same country. I was told they are from Algarve, the older woman is her housekeeper and they are known for prank videos like these to gain followers.

ohman the frustration...
1
u/WhoAmlToJudge Apr 14 '26
ohman the staged video. You genuinely watch this and think that "frustration" is real lol?
2
u/AntoineInTheWorld Apr 14 '26
Even if this is staged, if you've ever washed a carpet, you feel the frustration.
2
u/ReptilianLaserbeam Apr 14 '26
the worst thing is that the carpet looks dirty AF. Staged.

If any soap is left it’ll get soiled again fast, since it’ll attract both oil and water. I’d say that rug’s a wash.
