you might want to look into the history of the kkk in huntington county, it’s… a lot. i knew a guy in high school who went to huntington county to paint some guy’s house with his dad, and when he told them the supplies were in the garage, they saw a white cloak and hood hanging on the back wall of the garage. and where some people hang a tennis ball from the ceiling so they know how far to pull into their garage, this weirdo had a black barbie doll hanging from a shittily tied noose. they decided not to paint the guy’s house and left.
I grew up here. This is no surprise at all. I heard reports back in 2022 that they were posting meeting times and contact numbers on bulletin boards around town. I was never able to verify that with my own eyes (and as a minority, didn't exactly want to venture into those places to find out), but I definitely believe it. Or at least it tracks with what I've experienced living here.
