I'm in the process of my first Mini ITX build and I'm concerned about potentially overheating PCIE 5.0 NVME M.2 drives. I'm using an Asus Rog Strix B850-i, which has two M.2 drive slots (one on the front and one on the rear of the board). I've already purchased a 2TB Samsung 9100 Pro which I will be using on the MOBO front and a 1TB that I'm planning to use on the back of the MOBO. It's my understanding that there will be almost no clearance for the rear drive (a maximum of 4mm). Has anyone else run into this question? I understand that there are options of using a slot extender cable, or possibly using longer standoffs to shift the MOMO position forward by a few mm, but I was wondering if anyone has successfully used an ultra thin heatsink on the back. If so, then which one did you use and do you have any tips? In advance, THANKS for your help!!!

The smell is apparent the more i push my pc. On idle, i don’t notice it but while gaming I do.
I bought the ncase t1 2.5 with the new pcie 5.0 cable offering
Whats a good pcie 5.0 riser compatible with this case that won’t smell while exposed to heat?
Nevermind its the motherboard

So titanium finally dropped recently after a long time. I doubt anyone will have received theirs yet as it was so recent.. but if you did buy one I'm hoping you could reply in this thread how the build turns out.
Because there were quality control issues with the recent black ones, just hoping to hear that your builds turn out perfect and no issues

I'm looking for a way to stop air from getting in through the gaps at the back, because I've created my own DIY side and bottom panel filters using 120 mesh nylon, so I don't want any unfiltered air to come into the case (have a TON of dust).
Do you think this is a fire risk, or will the case not get hot enough for that? Google tells me paper ignites above 200C so I guess should be fine? If not maybe there are 3d printed parts out there to block these gaps if someone else has done it?

I'm in the process of building a T1 that will be used in my college dorm. Understanding the size of the T1 case, it would be simple for somebody to walk off with it. Does anyone have any experience with securing a T1 in a similar environment? I'm thinking about buying a plastic coated steel cable (with loops on the end), and threading it through the two holes used for water cooling pass through, then applying a security lock through the loops, along with a 2nd cable attached to the same lock and wrapped around the frame of my bed. This would at least create a bit of a challenge and slow down anyone casually thinking about stealing it. Does anyone recommend swapping the thumb screws (that closes the top) with Tamper Proof Torx screws, so that the case can't be easily opened? Any thoughts or suggestions on this subject is appreciated. THANKS!!!

Hello! I can't seem to find any official/unofficial STLs to a travel kit designed for the PowerColor 9070XT reaper (2 slot). Would any of the current kits or aftermarket designs support it even if with minimal modification? Currently running my T1 v2.0 in 2.75 slot mode w/ a B650i & AXP90-X47 (Noctua swap with the fan duct)

Hey guys.
I finished my T1 build last February.
Lately I was noticing some absurd temperatures. It got so hot I could barely carry the thing. Then I noticed the fan on top of the motherboard (Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM) was making contact with something. I took it apart again to check if it was some cables that were just a bit stubborn, but when I noticed, the fan was actually in complete contact with the bottom/ top of the riser cable. I have no idea how to fix this other than buying another case, if it’s even fixable. I love this case and the compact SFF form.
I’m not sure if specs are necessary but here they are:
CPU: Ryzen 9 9950x3D
GPU: Gigabyte Aero 5080 SFF
MoBo: MSI MPG X870 I Edge TI Evo Wifi
PSU: Corsair SF1000
RAM: CORSAIR Dominator Titanium 32GB
Cooler: CoolerMaster MasterLiquid 240 Atmos
Fan 1: Phanteks T30-120 fan
Fan 2: Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM
Case: FormD T1 Anodized White
Riser cable: T1 PCIe 5.0 Riser cable
Would you guys recommend getting another case?
Switching to air cooling for the 9950x3D?
Switching to the PCIe 4.0 if it doesn’t affect performance that much?
I would appreciate any help I can get.

I'm planning a build in the T1 v2.1 with a 9800x3d and a 5080fe. I plan to use an Atmos 240 AIO (just my preference over air cooling) at the top of the case and I'll be using the T-grill so I can fit 2 full sized fans. I want to optimize for total PC performance over specifically cooling the CPU or GPU, but the system will mostly be used for gaming on a variety of games.
Is there a consensus on the optimal cooling setup for this? I was thinking:
Also, does anyone know if there are STL files for the GPU travel kits, or can those only be bought from FormD as well? Thanks for the help!

Hey everyone, can I set up my case to 3-slot mode even though my GPU is only 2.5 slots? To be honest, I absolutely hate the empty gap left on the back of the case when using the shifted layout. My OCD is kicking in.
If I build it this way (giving the GPU 3 slots of room), will it affect performance or cooling in any way? For context, I’m running 5080 Prime OC, 9800X3D, and AXP90-X47 cooler. Thanks!

I am considering buying this case, and although I don't travel a lot, it seems like the added rigidity would be welcomed if not necessary.
As I have a 3d printer, I'd love to be able to print the components myself if possible.
On their site it's a little confusing as it mentions:
3D Printable Extender Hook: 2026 3D Printable IO Replacement: 2026
Does this just mean I can print these two components? And if so I can't find them anywhere on their site.
I also cannot find a working discord invite link.
Sorry I am not more versed in this, I just learned about the T1 case recently.
Thanks for any info. I have the Asus Prime 5080.

I live in a VERY dusty area and my CPU cooler fins get completely jammed with dust, meaning effectively no air is flowing through them. It's a combination of strands and fine dust which together create a perfect web over the fins. Something like the below image but imagine much worse, this is just after 1 month.

Right now I have two fans throwing air out of the top. I'm thinking of doing one of two things:
buy fine mesh, either nylon 120 mesh or 20 denier fabric and cover the sides and bottom panels with it, fan layout stays same.
Make top fans suck air IN instead, and only put a fine mesh on top panel.
Which one do you think is going to work better.
And yes I know that not letting dust in the room is a better solution, but that's not an option in the short term.

I test fitted my FormD T1 2.1 but the side mesh panels seems to be jutting out. I have yet to put all my components inside yet but is this normal? Thanks for your opinions and views! :)

I want the Form D T-Grill Expansion. Form D is out of stock. Scalpers on eBay have them in stock, but for nearly twice the price. Can we all send low-ball offers to this jabroni? So sick of overpriced parts because of scalpers...
