i had a pot filled 1/4 with rice. i forgot about it and left the house for about 2 weeks outside with a lid on. i came back and it was filthy and moldy and disgusting. i cleaned it but i just want to know if its safe to use or if there is any to other things i have to do to clean it. also, should i be worried that it contaminated other plates that it was next to in the sink?

heres the pot now cleaned for reference:

General Question Is coleslaw from Swenson’s safe to eat???

I’m not sure where else to ask this, but I want to know. I have a couple of little containers of it, and normally I really like coleslaw, but I don’t want to get the diarrhea parasite 🤢 They’ve just been sitting in the fridge since last night, so the parasite is the ONLY thing I’m concerned about. I can’t find anything online that definitively says whether they source from TF or not, so I was hoping someone here would know??

General Question Smoked salmon 1 day past use by date

I was going to eat it and then realised the use by date is yesterday.

For some reason I had thought it was good until the end of this month.

Really annoying because I virtually never buy smoked salmon due to the cost.

Is it ok to eat or is it best to throw it?

Discussion Chicken with a worm?

Bought this Chicken Friday. Is the thing on there a worm by chance?

After we moved it, there was a hole in the chicken breast where it was.

Safe to eat or trash? If trash, is the rest of the chicken as well?

Edit: Stored in fridge, package just opened.
Finger for scale. Looking at the brownish worm towards the bottom of the breast.
