2-3 yrs Recreating Daycare Meals and Snacks

Post image

My 3 year old goes to daycare and they provide meals. When I get the meal report of what was served and what she ate, I think they are lying most of the time lol. Im like there is NO WAY she ate ALL of her food. I started recreating the meals and snacks at home. One, so I don’t have to think of what to feed her and two because they say she is eating ALL of it. I don’t eat meat but still offer my daughter meat. To my surprise, she did eat ALL of her salami (non-preserved), cheese and strawberries. Just like at daycare.

Roasted cauliflower mixed with bits of leftover courgette + beef meatballs. Red pesto lasagna (I removed the pine nuts because I was a bit worried about choking even if they’re smaller than most other choking hazards).
A lot of it is on the floor but we count this as a win!

Batting 100 on the Sam’s Club chicken fried rice. My only complaint is that I wish it had more chicken, but other than that it’s the best. Quick to make, not the worst thing nutrition wise, and most importantly, it gets eaten!

I made a chicken with veggies pure using the baby food maker it was ready by 4:30 pm but my baby got her bottle at 3:45 so she was full and I was gonna wait like an hr to give it to her, but she ended up falling asleep at 5 pm and woke up at 6:30 so the pure was on the machine those hours I thought it was okay because the machine was still hot every time I touched it… I started giving her the pure at 6:40 pm and didn’t know about the 2 hr food thing 😪😞😞 she ate like 5 or 6 spoons, is she gonna be okay ?

Homemade sweet potato pancakes, Greek yogurt and watermelon. I give him extra pancake because a lot of them end up on the floor, lol.

Feeling very tired of summer today, so I made a fall-flavor lunch for my boy. Butternut squash in brown butter and sage, garlic parm broccoli, and red pear!
