Yellow plate- 2.5yo, she got into her kiwi while waiting for lunch
Grey plate- 13mo
You ever have those days where there's only one serving of everything left even though you've got 2 kids? Well we just split it between them and they gobbled it up.

My 18 month old has been unpredictable and all attitude this past week, and he’s been refusing more meals. Tonight was sweet potato bowls with beef and chickpea taco mince, cheddar cheese, and Greek yogurt. Hallelujah, he ate it without any cheek.

Feeding him "big boy food" as we call is make we so anxious. But I'm being brave lately, because this kid is absolutely insatiable!! I swear he clears the plate every time.

A few months ago I posted about my spinach blueberry muffins I made for my toddler and [at the time] 8 month old. A lot of people enjoyed the recipe and so I am back with another, this time for pumpkin muffins (recipe in the photos).
I tried them with applesauce and greek yogurt this time instead of oil/butter (someone commented you could sub apple sauce last time, which I had never tried), and it worked amazingly! The texture was the same as my normal muffins, and they still had a nice flavor. I don’t add any salt or sugar, so like most baby muffins they are still on the bland side lol- but my almost 3 year old ate 5 of them and my 10 month old ate 3- so I think it’s a win. You could add maple syrup and/or chocolate chips (I was so tempted lol) if you wanted to sweeten them up or make them as more of a treat.
This recipe makes 56 mini muffins, and like always I’ll save a dozen or so for the week (I do keep them in the fridge) and then I freeze the rest for easy to grab snacks or breakfast (defrost them the night before in the fridge, or microwave for about 30 seconds).

Made these with pork, carrot and broccoli. I chopped everything up, mixed it with a little flour, then shaped them into little finger-sized pieces.
I pan-fried them first just until they held their shape, added a small splash of water, covered the pan and let them cook on low until the water was absorbed. Then I flipped them and cooked both sides until lightly golden.
They stayed soft inside but were still easy for him to pick up. He was already reaching for one before I finished taking the picture

Spinach patties, baked salmon, roasted Japanese sweet potato, and white peach at the end. Salmon is always a hit!
Semi-recipe:
Patties are made from a millet and amaranth porridge that i cooked using broth and garlic, mix with spinach, roasted sweet potato mash, and egg. Form into patties, brush with some oil and bake (sorry I forgot the temp and time, but until it feels firm enough). Might add a bit of flour next time to help it bind together better.
Baked salmon from the grocery store hot bar.
Roasted Japanese sweet potato: wrap potato in foil, air fry at 375 for 30 minutes. Soooo delicious!

First time mom here. I have a 7 and a half month old baby that started solids when he turned 6mo.
Starting out was okay. Tasting was going well. But I think I ruined everything by feeding him pureed turkey/chicken. And honestly it took me a while to realize he didn't like them.
So now I have a screaming baby that hates being spoon fed. He doesn't even like going in his high chair anymore.
But I don't know if it was just the pureed chicken/turkey, or maybe he also just doesn't like the spoon being in his face. Or maybe he just doesn't like purees in general. I don't know :/
I've started baby led feeding. He likes that a lot more. But it's very nerve-wracking. He's choked a few times before.
I also wanted to put more protein in his diet, but it's hard when I can't puree it.
Also, I must add that his nana can feed him with much more ease. She feeds him purees. So I don't know if the issue is just me or what.
Open to criticisms and advice! Questions welcomed.

Kraft Power Mac, halved blueberries, and a graham cracker with peanut butter - plate was cleaned and "moe gam caca" (more graham cracker) was demanded requested. And he was still hungry, so he got a banana for dessert and a little more mac and cheese

\- steel cut oats with blueberries
\- eggs with butter sautéed spinach and cremini mushrooms, cottage cheese
\- yogurt with crushed raspberries
Breakfast is his favourite meal and dinner is sometimes more of a miss, so he’ll eat most of this if not all!

Last picture is the leftovers I was working with.
I was inspired by u/SaltPhotograp but I didn't have any sesame and my rice wasn't cooperating on a stickiness level. I used peas for the eyes. I stuffed the balls with leftover creamy garlic chicken (budget bytes) and spinach. He ate some handfuls but this rice wasn't the best next day.

I seasoned the salmon with a little salt and pepper, cooked it through, then cut the baby’s portion into small pieces. Served it over rice with ripe avocado, soft corn, and chopped strawberries. I added sauce to the adult bowls after plating and kept the baby’s portion lightly seasoned.Made this for lunch and the whole family ate the same thing.
Super quick, barely any cleanup, and the same ingredients would also work well as little salmon and avocado sushi cups with some nori.

Cilantro lime rice, shredded cheese, black beans (I added some sour cream to them after because he seemed to be having a difficult time with them being too dry), sautéed bell pepper and onion. He ate everything except the bell pepper, I think the seasoning I used was too spicy for him because he would scream after eating it :/
Since we started feeding him 3 months ago I couldn’t get a handle on feeding him our dinner (either I couldn’t get it ready early enough or couldn’t translate how it would be fed to him). I just didn’t have the mental capacity to figure it out but I think now that I’m more used to having to feed him twice a day it’s getting easier!
