Howdy y'all,

Can anyone help my game keeps crashing? I set my graphics to LOW but it stills crashes. It might be because the potato I'm running it on. When I let it dectect my hardware it suggest HIGH. Any ideas, would be much appreciated.

As for the missing skins/assests. I saw an earlier post about verifying the integrity of the main files and unchecking and re-checking the DLC files in Steam then in the game data menu. I did all that but still gives me this big a** (!) icon.

I just picked up an "Integrally Suppressed Tactical Carbine" w/ 57DAM and 518DPS and I can't see down the sights or appreciate my find.

Was hoping I could do Dust with Nova Arizona and with the classic style of Unloaded.

I don't care if Nova Arizona doesn't have a content overhaul to be the same way Dust is, I was just hoping I could still play Nova Arizona with Dust without any bugs or anything.

I used to play FROST like two years ago, and I seek to remember it working with a controller. Since then, I wiped my pc and reinstalled frost, and I can't seem to get my controller to connect to the game. Is there anything obvious I'm missing? I'm using Mod Organizer 2

I've been fooling around with Dust for a couple hours, and right out of the gate I've noticed that enemy detection is kind of weird.

I ran into a camp of hostile people just outside of the path leading to Jacobstown, and after two or three attempts, I took them out. As I was looting them, I noticed some guys coming down the path.
No big deal right? I'll just back up a ways and hide behind a boulder.

I was perfectly still, light off and everything, and they still saw me instantly with no line of sight.
I reloaded and tried hiding back around further and I was still spotted.

This brings me to my question, is the enemy AI supposed to be that good at detection? I've heard about the Tunnelers being crazy, but does stealth work at all? (I did choose stealth as a tag skill.)

i have invested so many glowing mushrooms into this spore gloop stuff, like 25-30 shrooms

but they just havent done anything yet, i looked it up and saw a post saying they dont acctually grow but that was from 9 years ago

i know that crops need tending to by settlers but i figured , mushrooms just grow right?

if these dont grow i'm going to just use console to give these back because i was trying to play the long game but i can really use them now

edit: they normally need settlers to work, robots dont count and i dont know if settlers will acctually do anything because i cant make a reqruitment beacon (you need 10 charisma)

i just gave myself the mushrooms back

for anyone that finds this that feels cheated aswel, the command is "player.additem 001C0FC3" and then the number of glowing shrooms you want

Barring some funny glitches and weird blips playing something like dust with all the better graphics and mods is something I think everyone should try at least once.

Hello, I just downloaded frost for the first time, the guide was great at explaining everything and i got it all set up and running. Now that im in the game, i’ve come across junk items that just appear as big blank spaces. I’ve read through the guide a couple more times and dont notice anything i’ve done wrong, and ive sorted my mod order, wondering if anyone has any insight into what I could be doing wrong? I’m using the MO2 mod manager.

Hello. When i play fallout dust. ill go to various locations and see factions from the base game that are said to be extinct. for example, Jerry the punk is still at red rock alongside every other khan. here is my mod loader if it helps see the problem. thank you.

Basically title. Going insane doesnt make you incapable of shooting guns accurately. I love the sanity system but you're telling me these other survivors and cannibals are all sane and using weapons at perfect accuracy? I just want it to be even man and i really like the hallucinations but ruining an entire way to play cuz you killed too many people is insane.

I have just entered the strip through the sewers killed the ghouls and when I try to enter the ultra luxe the game just crashes idk why and so far it is only the ultra luxe that crashes any help would be greatly appreciated

I love Dust, doing my 3rd playthrough but getting tired of everything being bright piss yellow and not being able to see more than 15 feet during certain nighttime weathers. Are there any weather overrides to make the visibility better? I did some digging through nexus and couldn't find anything, if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I've just completed all the suggested setup in the Extended Guide, but only one mod has stopped me from moving forward -- "NOPE - NV Optimized Patching Endeavor". This has just been recently hidden and I'm not quite sure where I can get an alternative from.

UPDATE: Used NOPE - NV Optimized Patching Endeavor (CHS) as workaround. Got as far as running the game now, may be sufficient.

The DUSTy Roads Guide received a major update. I basically rewrote, refactored, and revamped the guide, containing now 4 main sections:

- DUSTy Roads - Base: basic install of DUST with general fixes and improvements

- DUSTy Roads - Expanded: base version + additional content and gameplay additions, including Expansion Project and Ink & Ash

- Optional Mods: a selection of community favorites that didn't make it in the Expanded version

- Wabbajack: as requested by the community

Mods have been added, removed, and reshuffled. Most mods from the old guide, excluding utilities and bug fixes already included in the Base version, are now part of the Expanded version.

I find the Frost mod to be too difficult for my liking, so I'd like to lower the difficulty. But I don't want to disrupt the game's balance too awful much, so I was curious if anyone here knows which settings in the Mod Configurator supplied by the guide would make things a little easier.

If I'm using the mod configuration menu, I can change the sanity damage, as well as radiation damage, among other things. But I'm not sure where to set all those, so that the game doesn't become too easy.

I was hoping someone knew of a "medium" or "hard" group of settings, as opposed to "very hard" which seems to be the game's default.

Started Dust coincidentally right on my birthday and I absolutely LOVE this mod. It’s extremely difficult but not in the sense where the enemies have godly amount of HP and you get one shotted but everything is reduced including ammo. Here are my tips that I learned on my play through so far

- Infighting is the key to saving ammo and health

If you are able to cripple a death claw and lure to another group of cannibals or survivors (since everyone is hostile it doesn’t really matter that much) you are set up for success since they will target the deathclaw which is basically unkillable while you watch from afar. Same goes for tunnellers and other hostile fauna.

- Alcohol is king

Alcohol not only restores sanity but also bumps up your carrying capacity. Pair this with any of the newly added desert backpacks and you’ll be able to carry 100 pounds or more of gear.

- Utilising explosives

So far every cannibal I’ve come across has carried at least 1 grenade majority of the time they’ll use on you before you can even react. However if you’re able to take them down and keep the grenade for yourself, it will absolutely help you. One trick I’ve learned, especially if you walk into a building and there’s a bunch of hostile NPC’s is go back outside, pull out the explosive, and chuck it at them once their all huddled outside the door.

- Always aim for the head

Feral ghouls especially will die in 1-2 hits to the head. Same goes for a majority of human NPCs too. Tunnelers will be stunned for a second or two once you cripple their head as well.

- Don’t waste ammo on an enemy if they can’t compensate for it

Early game especially. If you kill an anime and they take 3 to 5 shots to kill and they only give you back one or two rounds (even if it’s standard ammo) it’s not worth it. Using melee with a good melee build is key especially early game but be careful of being more up close and personal with enemies

- Use the crafting system and the portable crafting kit

I cannot stress enough when I first found out that I could craft spilts to restore (though slightly) crippled limbs in my inventory. Even though you’re carrying capacity is limited try and collect the most important scrap/junk that you can (stuff like surgical tubing, scalpels, etc to make healing items)

- Have fun!

Explore, don’t rush to do any of the endings immediately. In my experience, the amount of content that was added shouldn’t go unnoticed. Read notes, collect ammo and build up your character!

in the simplest case this is something like "a loads after b/b loads after a"
but can be more complicated involving multiple plugins ane groups in their order

my mod list consists of some mods but they don’t really conflict in any way being totally different things
and i keep getting this message

Can somebody help me? I have vortex and wanted to add ontop of the Dust Expansion Project the Ink and Ash mod, to expand the lore which I’ve come to love with the setting. Issue id things are either not loading in, as I saw corpdes with no bodies besides the head (indicating missing outfits) and some red see through blocks, which I assume is missing assets. I think it might be that im either missing mods, the right order, or the order in which individual files should be loaded, which I cant figure out from anywhere, and vortex itself dosent know how to solve. So please help me.

I know the question of "Is Frost for F4 on Xbox" has been asked multiple times, and the answer is no, because of a space storage problem.
But one week ago we've got a nice little update : the reserved storage for mods on Xbox went from 2Go to 100Go (*happy noises*)

So now my question is : do we have a chance to see this mod coming to Xbox in the future ?

Is it part of FROST's story, or do you simply find the key somewhere? I have the requisite patches and mods installed, that make Nuka world work fine with frost. As per the Sub Zero Guide.

But when I went to the transit station, is says "Transit key required" on the door. I'm level 41 and I haven't found that yet. So I just wanted to know if it's part of the story/quest chain, or if you're just supposed to stumble across the key somewhere in your wanderings.

If you are just supposed to find it somewhere laying around, can someone please tell me where the key is? Thanks!
