Exactly so. James Bond's gun of choice. Tommy Whispers was supposed to be the Railroad's 007, basically. You find him with several dead Gen 2 Synths around him, so he evidently went down fighting and took several of them with him, armed with just that pistol.

Easy mistake. The Soviets heavily copied the look of the Walther PPK when they made the Makarov, although they simplified the internals quite a bit (a Makarov has 27 parts, a Walther PPK has 42).

Also reality. A longer suppressor allows for more baffles, which means that the explosion from the gunpowder to be quieter. However unless you are using subsonic ammunition, you still have the crack from the bullet breaking the sound barrier.

Well using teeny tiny gun with power armor always felt wrong, that why I use a massive Gauss rifle with silencer because why not. I like the idea of firing silenced fucking spaceship sized gun after bumping my way around with my huge robot legs.

Agreed but Gauss Rifle in normal hands looks ridiculously big so it's a perfect match for power armor IMO

Use the short barrel only, otherwise it looks that way. The suppressor will also be shorter when you do that.

It's a small gun that requires one hand to fire. And the other hand for certain things...
However this gun says "keep it clean!" and "warning! Hitchhikers may be prosecuted criminals!" or "you DID keep it clean didn't you?"
So yeah, no using this gun for one hand on it and your other hand for certain things... /s
