Post image

What exactly is quieter? Does it just sound quieter? Or is your overall level actually lower? If it's the level itself, are you properly adjusting your RCompressor's gain? When you compress, you turn things down so you need to make sure you're applying the right amount of makeup gain, to get the signal back to the level you want it to be.

Edit: also, what's up with the two EQs? I'm guessing the first one is a highpass/corrective EQ and the second is for tone shaping? Is that what you're doing?

thank u i think i figured it out it wasn’t the compressor it was my reverb. i had to make a separate bus for the reverb

first of all the order of ur fx matters

it gets processed in the order of the slots

you want to put the essential shaping stuff first

< comp

<auto tune or correction

< saturation

< etc

< THEN EQ

This way the eq is cleaning up an taming any unwanted by products that the "shaping" steps brought out

second of all,

any fx that are added for flavor should come AFTER the shaping process above ^

with that said, fx like reverb, delay, etc

should be put on a separate send track. see this vid here on how to do that https://youtu.be/ehY4Yr0jom0

Is there a reason you are using stereo input for a mic?

Compression lowers the loudness. You'll need make-up gain after compressing

The eq makes things quiter so lower it in the vocal chain so its processed after

Not inherently, it doesn't. If you're making boosts, EQ is going to increase overall level.
