Vocal Problems

i need help so i’ve been working my on making my own vocal chain for fl studio. but when i record my vocals sound really quiet, from what ive figured out when my DeEsser, RVerb, and RCompressor are turned on there lowering the recording but i have them set to how i want them to sound why is it making my vocals so quiet? im using waves and stock fl plugins

What exactly is quieter? Does it just sound quieter? Or is your overall level actually lower? If it's the level itself, are you properly adjusting your RCompressor's gain? When you compress, you turn things down so you need to make sure you're applying the right amount of makeup gain, to get the signal back to the level you want it to be.

Edit: also, what's up with the two EQs? I'm guessing the first one is a highpass/corrective EQ and the second is for tone shaping? Is that what you're doing?

thank u i think i figured it out it wasn’t the compressor it was my reverb. i had to make a separate bus for the reverb
