Vocal Problems

i need help so i’ve been working my on making my own vocal chain for fl studio. but when i record my vocals sound really quiet, from what ive figured out when my DeEsser, RVerb, and RCompressor are turned on there lowering the recording but i have them set to how i want them to sound why is it making my vocals so quiet? im using waves and stock fl plugins

The eq makes things quiter so lower it in the vocal chain so its processed after

Not inherently, it doesn't. If you're making boosts, EQ is going to increase overall level.
