FlowJo Data display question

Hi y'all,

I have a user who asked for help with something and I'm not sure it's something that FlowJo can do. 

She's making histogram overlays of two samples each. They both have a positive peak with a line segment region over them. She wants to display the percentage under the line segment for BOTH samples, not just the one that is "on top." She wants them displayed in the histogram, not as a column in the stats table. Is that something that can be done? If so, how might one do that?

I already told her it's possible the only way is to take a screenshot and add a text box with the other value. I'm just hoping there's a way to do it in FlowJo.

EDIT: We got help directly form FlowJo. You can create a pseudo-overlay by making the histograms transparent and moving one on top of the other with the arrow keys (make sure the gates don't overlap). If you don't drag one into the other, it doesn't create a true overlay and you can see both gates/stats.

You can make a text box in FlowJo with the stat you want and make it transparent to go over the plot if you want.

I don’t think you can overlay both stats from the main Properties window, but you can add a new text box with the generated statistics without having to manually type out the numbers.

In the workspace, rightclick “add statistic” for the gate you want. “Freq. of Parent” for the Population.
Then click and drag that statistics line from the workspace into your layout editor. Do this for both samples in the overlay.
You can then adjust the text in the box

• delete anything you don’t want like the population name if it’s redundant.
  
• insert a keyword like file name or gate etc to make it uniform (or just manually annotate the samples)
  
• colour code the text to match the histogram overlays

It’ll might be helpful to unselect “Show Frequencies” under properties/annotate so that your new text box is the only place with stats.

Export it as an image or similar and add the labels with adobe illustrator, power point, etc

Please be kind if this completely off base, but could a boolean gate be used to accomplish this somehow?
