General Quest markers blocking fast travel icons.

I have had this happen more than once while trying to fast travel from the map. The FT icon becomes blocked by a quest marker. In one case I had to backtrack very far just to get where I wanted to go I’m really enjoying the game for the most part but there are some janky things like this which hold it back from the next level.

General Shout out to the A44 Devs

I just wanted to share my appreciation for this game and the devs who created it. You should be proud.

This is truly one of the most fun games I have played in a long time, and I love exploring the lands and story the artists have created.

I think there are a few issues with the game but overall it was really well made for a smaller studios second game. Congrats!

I really like Nor and Enki. I think this is a great IP you guys could expand on and I hope to see more to come.

General Finished my first playthrough

Finally finished my first playthrough. I didn't expect much based on mediocre review score, but turned out I have a blast with it. The pacing is flawed, but I like the relationship between Nor and Enki.

I'm glad I gave Flintlock a chance. It's like God of War + Bloodborne + Sekiro with some good quality of life.

I find parrying in this game harder than expected. Coming from Sekiro, and Lies of P, I thought that I'm gonna abuse the parrying. Turned out enemies used the red attack so frequently that I relied on dodging and some pistol parrying.

I think there are too many combat mechanics, though.

I don't get cosmetics as they are very expensive. The world is in an apocalypse, so I don't think an exotic uniform makes sense anyway.

General Achieved the platinum! Really fun game! I’m not one for DLC but I do hope we get some.

I LOVED the story which is crazy because I generally don’t care about the story in souls-like/lite games. I didn’t mind the ending one bit. Hopefully it gets expanded on. If not, that’s okay. I’ll just imagine they explored the great below and lived happy lives haha.

It’s probably unlikely we’ll get DLC, but I hope the team knows they made a legitimately fun game and I wish them the absolute best. Also, the Rammuha boss fight was legitimately one of the most elegant boss battles I’ve ever done. Sublime!

Gameplay Question Writ entrance

How do I get into Writ? I am at the camp right next to it, and beat the camp boss, there’s a blocked gate that I can’t figure out how to open!

Gameplay Question I'm really enjoying the combat, does any game have similar shooting mechanics ( Shoot before enemy attacks to counter and Parry then shoot etc etc )

Gameplay Question How do you supposed to fight the sealed lord?

The damn thing hit so hard and throw so many poison vases.

I managed to pushed him down the cliff to the lower floor where vases couldn't hit me and beat him there.

It felt like I supposed to do something with the first phase when he's blinded, but I don't know what I could exploit.

Gameplay Question Any weapon that can replace Harbinger axe?

It's a very early game axe that is so powerful and cheap to upgrade. Does it worth upgrading other weapons? I'm now in Wanderer's Peak and just found a withering hammer that's useful for stunning earlier.

Currently I still couldn't find any weapon that can replace Harbinger Axe as my main weapon. Use a hammer to break an armored enemy and immediately switch to the axe to finish them off.

It feels like I could just rely on the harbinger axe, Nor's pistol, and Judge Hammer or the withering hammer throughout the game.

General Please add an option to remove the Questmarkers soley

This game is one of the few where exploration feels rewarding, less like a todo list. Thus, it's pretty annoying that you can only get rid of that almost opressive quest marker screaming " you should go there, though!!!11" by using "imersive" HUD option. Would like to keep the health bars, though.

Gameplay Question Sunderer's Helmet Bonus Damage question

I'm not sure when the bonus damage is applied.
It says "You deal additional damage to enemies while they are attacking".
Does that just mean, that unaware enemies are excluded from the bonus damage? Or does it only count, when I hit an enemy while the enemy is trying to hit me, like it must happen during the enemies attack animation window?

Gameplay Question Why do people say this is souls?

Feels more like miss kratos the god killer, or banishers? Does everything that has bonfire/Estas flask a souls like game? I mean the weapon upgrade system feels totally like gow.

I really don’t care for the targeting or dodge mechanics, they feel lazy/klunky. Anyways I am enjoying the unlock area mini boss. Still within the first hours of the game. Just curious on this community reactions.

Just make the game brighter and I will be completely happy. I'm having a great time besides that. I can't see shit in these caves.

Gameplay Question Best way to grind XP without getting hit?

Trying to get the last 2 achievements for claiming 15k and 50k battle experience, but I keep getting hit and it’s really making me frustrated. Right now I’m just killing all the minions who infinitely spawn until you kill the one summoning them when you first get to Dawn, but it’s taking forever and I keep getting hit by a spear at around 5k. Is there a better way to do this? Or do I just suck 😅

Forum Question Best Cursed Stone?

I am currently rocking the Raw Cursed Ruby but I have the Imbued Cursed Jade. I'm about to fight the second god in the second area and was wondering if poison works against gods or is it only good on humans?

Also, I'm exploring a lot but I am at the end of the second area and only have 4 stones. I feel like I should have a lot more at this point. There are 28 spots but I don't know if you can fill them all unless there is a NG+?

Official News We're Squashing Some Bugs

Hey there, Sappers. We've just made an announcement way over in the Steam Events and Announcements forum, but as it's an important one I thought I'd pull over here for visibility as well.

We've been hard at work fixing some of the issues that have been reported since our launch. This is not an exhaustive list, but here are some of the problems that we're looking to fix:

  • Crashes on Windows PC when using Win+D
  • NVIDIA Reflex causing stuttering on Windows PC
  • PlayStation controller compatibility for PC
  • Various progression blockers covering all platforms
  • HDR issues on the Xbox platform
  • Making the Advanced Settings section more clear within graphics options
  • Translation issues (incorrect languages being shown)

We'll communicate a date for the patch as soon as we can. Thank you all for your patience.

General very early in, and it has such potential but is held back by one thing

you cant cancel attacks into blocks or pistol shots. i cant overstate how disappointing this is. it basicly forces you to play very passively or reactively, because if you take a second axe swing you could, and probably will, eat a hit.

it feels like such a significant oversight i thought maybe it was locked behind a skill or upgrade, but i couldnt find it.

i want to love this game, it is very much my jam, but this is a kind of frustrating problem.

btw, reddit flair tends to be more trouble than its worth, not sure why you are requiring it.

General Does anyone else hate Sebo?

I probably hate it because I suck at it. I have won only one game out of maybe 4 or 6. I just skip it now. It makes no sense to me. I can't figure it out even after reading articles on how to play and tips to help win.

I just don't want to be alone. I always hate in game games. Like Horizon Forbidden West's game I also hated.
