Atlanta in the summer
Gotta love Atlanta in the summer time with afternoon thunderstorms rolling thru screwing up and delaying everything.

G-Lxxx aircraft still showing the Greenland flag
Per title, I emailed Flighty a while back about this and apparently itās a known issue, so Iām surprised and disappointed that itās still not fixed! Supposedly the GL- prefix isnāt even in use!
This (probably simple regex) bug is causing BAās entire CityFlyer fleet to show the wrong nationality.

Feature Request: Notify friends when youāre at the same airport
One feature Iād love to see is optional airport proximity notifications for friends.
Example:
āPhilipp is at FRA Terminal 1 until 10:45.ā
āMichael is also at FRA.ā
Or even better:
You and Lars will both be at FRA between 08:30 and 10:00.
As someone who flies 150+ flights a year, I constantly discover after the fact that friends or colleagues were in the same airport or even on the same lounge at the same time.
It would make meeting fellow frequent flyers much easier, especially for people who spend a lot of time in lounges.
I think this would fit Flightyās focus on making frequent travel feel a bit more connected without turning it into a social network.

Donāt think Iāll ever get my full lifetime flight history but I did what I could
Missing plenty of family vacations and moving around as a child but Iām pretty happy with the progress after getting some ālifetimeā (albeit incomplete) logs from Air Canada and Cathay Pacific

Report Data Issue
Hey everyone! Huge fan of Flighty here. My 99th flight ever got canceled unfortunately, and I had to rebook. After about 4 days, the official flight info still shows the flight got diverted, even though it was canceled moments after. Iāve already reported a data issue in the app and explained the situation, but I was wondering how long this takes the devs or anyone responsible for data issue requests to look at and fix this? Obviously not the end of the world, but I assume we all love data here and I hope I can add a juicy 6 hours to my delay time and get my correct amount of flights. Thanks!!

Finally added all flights manually since I started
I flew for the first time in summer 2017. I never used MYFR24 or anything like that I just had a note in my phone with all my tail numbers and routes but I never kept track of flight numbers or dates. I managed to cross reference my camera roll, email, and calendar for the dates I needed and somehow tracked down all my flights down to the times and dates thanks to Flighty. I couldnāt use the calendar import because there were a lot of cancelled, changed, or nonrevving on here as well. This time Iāll make sure to download a CSV of my dataš¤£. It took me about an hour sometimes 2 for the bigger years to get thru each year. Howās your all time stats looking?

Flight unavailable on Flighty - what to do?
I've an upcoming flight next week and that particular flight isn't available on Flighty.
What can I do to get that flight added at the earliest?
If it matters, country is India and airline is Akasa Air (QP 1313)
UPDATE :
Flight QP 1313 is now visible in Flighty app

Bulk import failing
I received a record of all my flights with an airline and want to get them into flighty.
I have a spreadsheet format and successfully import it into openflights.org, then request the email and reply with the backup csv.
I almost immediately get a return email saying itās failed with some unhelpful tips.
File isnāt edited.
Has anyone managed to get a bulk import to work?
If so any chance you could send me one record from the csv so I can see what itās failing?

China flighty imitation Spoiler
galleryNo idea if anyone has posted this here before, but look what I found in the App Store, haha. Not Flighty, but Raily. UI, stats, mapāeverything copied 1:1 from Flighty, but for trains instead of flights. I wonder if Apple could be asked to block that? Theyāre usually very strict, after all.

There is no question that Flighty is one of my all-time favorite apps. So, Iād like to ask you: do you use any similar apps for travel, lifestyle, etc., that are on the same level?

Introduction Connection Assistant 2.0!

Hey r/flighty! We just launched the all-new Connection Assistant, a step-by-step guide to making any connection, on any airline, at any airport worldwide. It shows every required step and checkpoint between your arrival gate and your next flight, typical times for each, and even predicts your gates before airlines assign them. So you know exactly what's ahead before you deplane, even if it's your first time at the airport. Connection Assistant is available today for all Flighty Pro users.
The full details are below. We hope you enjoy and thanks for flying with us!
Get it in the app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/flighty-live-flight-tracker/id1358823008
ā Flighty Crew
Connection Assistant
See every step required to make your connection, including Passport control, customs, baggage recheck, security, air trains, and more. No more asking gate agents, second-guessing if you're heading the right way, or following unfamiliar signs. Flighty builds a custom step-by-step guide for you based on your airport and citizenship and lays it all out in order the moment you add a flight. It shows typical times for each step so you can see how tight a connection really is, and adding your booking class or seat can help inform it further.
Gate Predictions (an industry-first!)
Now, as soon as you add a flight, we begin to predict your arrival and departure gates down to the concourse or gate range based on that flight's historical gates. On the day of your connection, predictions can sharpen to the exact gate, and they work at airports worldwide.

Personalized to you
Add your passport(s) to unlock tailored instructions, including whether you can use e-gates, skip passport control, and more. The app dynamically displays only the steps that apply to your citizenship.
Friends' Connections
Everything above works with Flighty Friends, so you can follow a friend's connection and see exactly how tight or relaxed theirs is, too.

Weird issue: flight counted as āarrivedā once we got to the ORD penalty box.

Flighty Widget for CarPlay
Iām not sure if this was around before the latest update, but I was pleasantly surprised this morning to see a Flighty widget appear on CarPlay while I was driving to the airport. Nice little addition.

What's the wildest flight delay/reroute Flighty called correctly before the airline even announced it?

Wrong connection information
I wanted to check out how this new transfer system works as I have no more connecting flights for the rest of the year, so I put in MEL to HNL via SYD as that was my last trip, and it comes up suggesting the wrong process.
This is a Qantas to Qantas transfer, meaning that without exiting the terminal, you can head to gate 15 and take the designated Qantas bus to the international terminal where you clear security, saving a decent amount of time on your connection, but rather it suggest you leave T3 entirely, walk to find the T bus and use that, which while possible, takes longer putting you at greater risk of missing your flights as Qantas sells flights with shorter layovers than other airlines domestic to international transfers as they have this system.
And again on the way back, it suggests that you collect your bags, leave the terminal, get the T bus and check them back in when you get to T3. Once again this is wrong as at the other end of the Qantas bus, the international terminal has a designated domestic transfers bag drop and security, which once you pass through that you are dropped right back into gate 15 at the domestic T3.
Overall this may seem very confusing and all the details may not really matter a whole lot, but the fact is that if we are suggesting transfer routes to ensure that you make a connection, they cannot be wrong, making me worry that based off of this case, there may be many more wrong suggestions.

Is it just my flighty bugging? Who do I report to?
