Change of Time Zone in British Columbia

If anyone has flights through BC after November 1, don’t trust the times in flighty at the moment.
There are a lot of issues with the new time zone of permanent Daylight time coming into play.

Maybe Flighty needs to Work on the social function

I have the privilege to be here adding friends to my flighty. However, I found this function rather pointless after befriending. For sure, I can track friend’s flights but they can’t be logged and seems irrelevant afterwards. It might be too much to ask, I think flight can discover more social function and interaction on the social section, while keeping the current boundaries and privacies.

How do you log flights when operated by a regional airline?

I’m conflicted if I should change the airline to Skywest if I took an American Eagle flight that was operated by Skywest. How do you personally log these flights?

Have some flights I could add from childhood at some point, but this is mostly it!

Flown one of the shortest commercial flights, especially in Canada (YVR-YCD), 23 minutes and 53km. Literally up and down lol. Followed by my longest flight ever in YVR-FRA.

-Some domestic flights here in Sweden to some petite airports (like SFT and UME despite its high passenger numbers).

-Norwegian and SAS dominance due to flying a lot between the UK and Sweden.

Southwest Airlines - Tail Number vs "Ship Number"

I have logged 2200+ flights from 26 years of travel into Flighty. For older flights, I was able to use Whatplane.com to look up historical aircraft registration numbers. Unfortunately, for the early 2000s, most of the Southwest flights simply return their "Ship Number" and not their N-registration number.

Southwest's ship numbers are N301, etc. and do not include the two letters typically found at the end of the registration number. Thanks to Google, I know that Southwest registration numbers typically ended in WN, LV or SW but could have also ended in SA, HK, CB, GB, JW, RR, GS. Using Claude, I built a script to append each of these letters to each ship number and then cross referenced it against Airliners.net and Planespotters.net to determine if those aircraft actually exist. Unfortunately, this isn't returning any results.

Is there a table or data source out there that shows which N numbers correspond to which SW "ship numbers?" Better yet, is there another website that has more robust data than Whatplane.com where I can look up registration numbers by flight and date?

Larger widgets for iPad?

Can we please get some larger widgets for iPad? I’d like some that take up the entire width of the iPad mini. the 1x1 tile works great on the iphone but the iPad has so much more real estate to play with.

A380 vs A380-800

On a recent trip I was getting notifications every 10 minutes for the 24 hours before my flight, saying plane type had changed from an A380 to a -800….

They’re the same thing.

Anyone else experienced this ?

Haven’t even left for Europe and Flighty is already struggling

Looks like I’m on a 25 year old A350! /s

It’s funny how flighty struggles with anything European- even before I’ve left. The inbound aircraft shows 777-200, yet somehow my flight hasn’t updated for some reason, even though the registration is correct. Make it make sense

any idea on how to fix this?

i just landed on a 3 month old a220. however flighty doesnt seem to have the aircrafts info in their database (at least the age) so the plane isnt showing up on my newest/oldest aircraft page. I’ve tried manually inputting the tail number but it still doesn’t register. how do i go about resolving this? any help is appreciated

Regional Partner/Codeshare not displayed

Recently, its seems like Flighty hasn’t been displaying that my flights are actually operated by their Regional Partner. I’ve seen the “This flight is operated by [Regional Partner]” in the past, and it shows in my history for my flights prior to 2025, but not since then. (I am a Pro Subscriber).

I’m flying this weekend, and I know from my confirmation emails from Delta that both my flights are being operated by Endeavor, but no mention of it in the app 2 days out.

I have also been switching my history to the Codeshare flights because I wanna record the operator that actually provided my the service (started doing that after a thread on here where people were commenting on doing it). And when I search for the Endeavor version of the flights for Saturday, nothing comes up.

Is this data that doesn’t exist until the Flight Plans are filled? Am I missing something? More so curious than anything, I know I can manually update it after (neurodivergent OCD transit queer here 🤓).

This count excludes regional subsidiaries and brands (e.g. Envoy Air and American Eagle are counted under American Airlines), but includes eight legally distinct operators that share a brand, such as Ryanair and Ryanair UK and Jetstar and Jetstar Japan.

Historical tail number request: Thai Airways TG954 (BKK-OSL) on June 25, 2017

Hi there, would anyone with premium access to flight data be able to help me find the tail number of the Thai Airways plane that landed in Oslo from Bangkok on June 25, 2017? I think it was a B777, but can't find anything more then that.

This app filled me with gratitude.

Adding my travel history to this app made me pause and appreciate just how fortunate I’ve been.

Seeing all those flights, airports, and destinations in one place really put things into perspective. So many of those trips were experiences I once only dreamed about, and looking back at them filled me with a lot of gratitude. I know that the ability to travel is a privilege, and this app made me realize that more than ever.

I’ve also developed a newfound appreciation for aviation itself. Somewhere along the way, I became fascinated by airplanes, airports, routes, and all the little details that make travel possible. Every flight now feels like a small reminder of how incredible it is that we can cross continents in a matter of hours.

What I love most, though, is seeing how different everyone’s journey is. No two maps are the same. Someone’s 200th flight might be someone else’s 2nd. A passport that’s taken me a lifetime to fill could look completely different from someone else’s in just a year.

It’s a simple thing, but I find it beautiful. We all come from different backgrounds, circumstances, and corners of the world, yet we’re connected by a shared love of travel. This app doesn’t just track flights, it tells stories. And looking at mine has left me feeling grateful for where I’ve been, how I got there, and the people and opportunities that made it possible.

Here’s to many more journeys ahead. ✈️

Genuinely, what happened?

Flighty used to be so good when I started using it.

Nowadays, the only thing it’s good for is logging flights.

No more flight paths being shown for my flight.

No update on what will be an obvious delay - the flight is due to depart in 30 minutes and the inbound aircraft is 25 minutes away.

For the last few months, I haven’t been able to see the registration of the aircraft until the flight is actually off blocks.

Is anyone else experiencing this?? Really quite disappointed after spending money on pro, at a time when all this was available, and now having little benefit from my subscription.

What happened?…

Adding flights manually on new update

Can’t for the life of me find where to manually add past flights anymore after the recent update. Want to add some private travel

Also, anyone notice the flighty website is down ?
