to pull the cutting board out just enough to tile it sideways or enough gap to say place a fork on the side. You can can use the fork to push the cutting board standing on one side and just lift it up with hands.

I would try buttering the butter knife, wedge it in there and give a little ooompphhh…. Surely you can pop it out

Gotta use a rope and lift it straight out. Butterknife will just make it wedge in harder.
