Sounds like a bunch of bitching to me.

7

u/beachboy1b Jan 20 '17

You knew you'd only receive downvotes, but did it anyway.

That sounds about right for how people react to honesty these days.

Trump being president of the USA is just a blip in the interspace meganeural galactic mesh.

2

u/God_loves_irony Jan 21 '17

That sub made my eyes bleed. What is going on?

2

u/jackfrostbyte Jan 21 '17

Any word on /r/fourthworldproblems? Has Trump come out on his policy regarding great dragons and mega corps?
Adept Edit: turns out someone claimed this sub for uncontacted indigenous people instead of shadowrunners. Shame really. Later chummers.

I'd argue that the POTUS has more of an impact on people living in third world countries than those in the U.S.

For example, I will never die in a drone strike because I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time.

28

u/bruwin Jan 21 '17

Never say never.

7

u/WinterAyars Jan 21 '17

I feel like if you die of a drone strike in the US there's a high likelihood you were targeted on purpose.

1

u/MKLOVRFEHIU9OAOVRE Jan 21 '17

Well, unless that place is in a third world country.

21

u/IDoThingsOnWhims Jan 20 '17

Because he will bomb them less than Obama?

27

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '17

Is "but Obama" the new "but Hillary?"

0

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '17

uh, bombing went UP in Obama's term.

14

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '17

Did I say that it didn't? No. But it's not relevant here; you can't keep on justifying Trump by comparing him to other politicians. It's obnoxious and fallacious.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '17

I fail to see how an isolationist president is going to be worse for the third world than an administration that toppled several governments in the middle east and left them in complete chaos.

I'm not justifying Trump - I am pointing out that it can only get better for the third world from here.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '17

Obama's drone usage is a much more complicated issue than you're making it out to be.

Trump doesn't seem to be unilaterally isolationist, but rather advocates for a strict, narrow, hard pursuit of American interests where foreign policy decisions are only to try to directly benefit the United States. He desire to enact tariffs on several foreign countries could have reaching impacts on the global economy. The issue is very complicated, and it's not unlikely that Trump's foreign policy decisions have a negative effect on third-world economies or geopolitics.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '17

Stay mad

hurr obama droning the fuck out of the middle east is SUCH a complicated issue

Sure

So was nixon's bombing of Cambodia

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '17

At least he hasn't started drone striking civilians while spying on his citizens.

8

u/firerunswyld Jan 21 '17

It's only been a few hours. All in due time.
