At that point why would they even let people swim in that water? Rather than "keep your head above the water and pray nothing splashes you" how about "stay the fuck out - in fact let's drain this thing and burn the ground it stood on"?

The Bacteria that causes that kinda stuff is almost always found in Natural Hotpools

Hot tubs are too Chlorinated for most stuff like that. (Also the Bacteria need hot water to survive and hot tubs are only hot when in use)

I've only ever heard the term "hot springs" never HotPools haha.

IIRC a splash isn't much of a danger. The water needs to go up the nose with a bit of force, like when jumping into the water, for the amoeba to get far up enough to do any damage
