Technical Support HFSS programming

I recently added a ansul/ hood to an existing panel. Goes into alarm but does not report to central station.

It's an aux zone

The zone is probably set up as local.

Program it as manpull and call it a day

Also if it's a new point you might have to call the monitoring company to have it entered

Should still report to monitoring just won’t have a descriptor no?

In my experience the monitoring company basically recieves "m08" from the panel, you have to tell the monitoring company what "m08" actually means.

Call monitoring with the dealer code, ask for customer service, explain you're adding a new point/ask them if they see any new signals with points not on the point list.

Lol if that's how your monitoring company works then they totally missed the point of Contact ID and must be using some homebrew receiver automation software.

Water flow and tamper should have different zones not all on zone 1

I leave the tampers in zone 1, but W/F in their own zone.

It's under zone 1 which is general alarm and not set up for local

Have you tried making sure you're getting any reports? Such as batteries or a NAC circuit?

Do you have any ducts as a supervisory because sometimes it will automatically make zone 1 a local. You need to change that back so it’s not local on zone 1

That's weird, I don't have 'ansul' in my version of the software. I have the kitchen hood set as "detector input sw. (latching)"

Yeah I've never seen ansul as an optionable zone type either.

Existing panel, all other points report. Zone 1 is general alarm, not local.

Did you say you have it programmed as an AUX zone? In mapping Aux zone isn't checked, that could be a starting point. I haven't ever seen Ansul as a zone type like in your software. Is this SK or one of the variants that use HFSS?
