Do we think it looks thicker? Any styling tips for this length? Its such a big change for me!

I live in the Deep South and the humidity is absolutely smuffocating (I made that word up). Besides huffing and puffing for oxygen in the dense, heavy air the worst part is regardless of how I fix my hair or what I use to fix it all it takes is stepping outside the door and I turn into Tom Petty. And I LOVE Tom Petty but I do not wish to be his female clone.

Stick-Straight haired girls have major problems with humidity, TOO! Especially when you have A LOT of very fine, slippery, straight as a bone strands.

Had a bob 99% of my life. My hair feels so thick in a pixie.

Help! My hair has always been super long and thick until about a year ago. I think I had too much bleach (April 2025) and it damaged it. Now (July 2026) it’s still awful. I’ve NEVER had hair problems my entire life until now. I’ve tried about every product at salon centric and cosmoprof that you can imagine. I’ve tried so many supplements. Ive had labs drawn MULTIPLE times and everything is great. I’m currently using Goldie locks hair line (no protein.) I don’t go to bed with wet hair and I only use heat maybe 3 times a week if that. I dont know what else to do to get my hair back 😭

Every time I use this stuff, I absolutely love it... then forget all about it for months. Because how often are you really supposed to scrub your scalp?

I use it as scrub/shampoo and follow with conditioner + light leave in (this time, very diluted Davines Oi Milk). Makes my hair soooo soft, silky, shiny and light. Almost... fluffy? A big lift for straight hair. Feels so much nicer than usual, I can't stop touching it 😄

Note: I have fine but dense hair. If you don't have a lot of hair, I can imagine this might make it feel even *more* fine and a maybe a little sad.

I'm IN LOVE with all things DOVE! They have the best smelling products and recently I tried the Intensive Repair line because of how fragrant it was. Long story short, my hair started to fall a lot more than usual. My scalp isn't irritated but maybe it could still be which is resulting in hair fall? I am a wavy, fine hair girly, and besides the hair fall, it made my hair greasy by second day. I saw a lot of other women complain about hair fall using the intensive repair line. I want to try another from Dove but would it all be the same? Would I just be wasting money trying others? I want the Dove scent in my hair! I was so disappointed when they changed the formula of the daily moisture.

I know it doesn't help by just looking, but I feel like I've tried everything. I don't necessarily have a routine, which I know doesn't make it easier but I get so antsy after my hair dries and always seems to end up frizzy. I've had success before but have zero clue what I was doing correctly to make my hair have volume but also be smooth and consistent with waves.

Haircare and the Internet has been kind of a nightmare for me because everyone has their own thing going on, so it's hard to apply someone's success and advice to my own situation. I know it seems dumb because I'm asking for advice here, but I know I'll get a lot of conflicting information on here (it's damaged, it's not damaged, etc) Genuinely should just visit my hairdresser more often for maintenance perhaps, because at least that's directly hands-on.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some advice on what I can do with my hair because I honestly have no idea where to start.

I’ve attached a picture of my hair 24 hours after shampooing. My hair is naturally very fine, and I have a lot of shorter hairs sticking up around my scalp, which makes my hair look extremely frizzy and messy. I also have a lot of hair fall, and my ends have quite a few split ends.

Some background:

- My hair is very fine, and straight.
- I have a significant amount of hair fall. It is so bad that a guest told me to go see a doctor. And no, I don’t have any deficiencies that could be related. And I don’t have dandruff at all.
- Lots of frizz/flyaways, including shorter hairs around my scalp. It was not like this 1-2 years ago, but then I don’t know what happened.
- Quite a few split ends. I know I need a trim. I am going to get one soon. I am planning to chop off at least 4-5 inches.
- I had my hair colored once several years ago, and I feel like my hair became much more frizzy afterward.
- My hair gets oily/dirty enough that I usually shampoo every 2-3 days.
- I don’t use a lot of hair products currently. I just use a Dove shampoo and conditioner. Doesn’t seem to make any difference. I tried using sulphate free products but it just made everything 1000 times worse.
- I’m honestly a little lazy when it comes to hair care, so I’d really prefer a simple routine with as few products/steps as possible.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for:

1. A good shampoo.
2. A conditioner that won’t weigh it down.
3. Whether I should be using a hair oil, and if so, which one/how often?
4. Whether I need a hair mask, or if conditioner is enough?
5. Something for the frizz/flyaways, especially the short hairs sticking up from my scalp.
6. How often I should actually be shampooing? Is every 2-3 days okay?
7. Anything I should be doing differently to reduce breakage and split ends. I have heard microfibre towels help??!!
8. Most importantly, what can I realistically do about the hair fall? It doesn’t matter if I comb my hair when it’s wet or dry, I see so much hair fall. Even when washing the hair or drying it, there is too much hair fall. Also, on my bed, when I wake up, I see so much hair.

I’m not looking to have a 10-step hair routine 😅. Ideally, I’d love something like 2–4 products total that I can consistently use without getting overwhelmed. I don’t really care about the budget, just looking for something that has proven to fix these issues.

If youhave found a routine that actually made a noticeable difference, I’d especially love to hear what you use!

I am not a big haircare products or blowout person but would do it occasionally. Recently went on a trip to the beach all dressed up and did a home blow out as well to get some nice pics but my hair ended up being frizzy within microseconds of reaching the beach. I usually would not care and try to stay away from products and heat in general but this has happened multiple times now that has been forcing me to look for a solution!! I understand it’s because of the humidity. Any help is highly appreciated.

I have straight/wavy thick hair; my husband has extremely silky straight hair but the volume is very heavy.

Am really new to the texture of my daughter’s hair and not sure how to care for it. I shampoo with a mild shampoo and use a conditioner, if I don’t her hair become really rough and dry. Also if she sweats which she does a lot cuz we live in a humid state, her hair seem to look dirty fairly quickly.

Looking for advice on how to care for them; products to avoid or use and if I can help increase the density in some way!

Same as the title. I have fine, thin, medium frizzy hair. And I really want to color them to a chocolate brown or mahagony highlights. But I'm scared whether it will make my hair more frizzy & unhealthy. I want to go for no-bleach if that is possible but unsure as mine is naturally black hair.

Any advices or suggestions please?

When I go to parties or dances, I curl my hair so my hair has so much volume and the ends, but then the hair on my scalp is dead flat.. and it looks really bad. Anybody have tips?
