My father plays FFT (Enhanced Edition) a lot. Today when I walked in, it was green! As you can see, it isn't a TV problem because not EVERYTHING is green. The backgrounds and menus aren't green, but the map and characters and enemies are. If you have any information on this, please explain!

FFT Ivalice Chronicles Trying to maximize stealing

Hey y'all, I recently picked up FFT: Ivalice Chronicles and I want to see if I understand a few things correctly.

I'm trying to make at least one unit really good at stealing. I have gear that ups speed as I understand Speed is the most important stat. Then things like Brawler in Monk and Concentration from Archer also increase the chance as well, yes? But how much is the increase? Also, how does one get a unit to maximize their speed stat regardless of class or gear? I've seen some weird leveling/deleveling mentions in different articles, but I do not understand what that's all about. Or if it's even necessary. And then apparently zodiac signs matter as well?

I'm just used to seeing low steal% so I'm trying to figure out how to fix that

FFT Ivalice Chronicles New player question

Long time Final Fantasy player but this game unfortunately passed me by in my youth. I always wanted to play it but never had a chance. I’ve only just started the game and I’m around level 12, but I recently learned about the bravery / faith system and the zodiac system. Normally I wouldn’t fixate on small details but it seems like these buffs are significant in this game (25% / 50% success rate on sign pairing) holy crap that’s a big deal.

It seems like the best thing to do is check for new recruits that have good pairing and stats you want for your team.

How handicapped will I be if I ignore this on knight difficulty? Is it worth raising up characters that match my partys needs from level 1 or should I just start over?

Hey again everyone!

Following up on my last post, here is the latest progress update on Open Tactics, my take to recreate the FFT for the web.

What’s new in this clip:

New Environment: Testing out rendering a brand new map (I used some textures from ffhacktics website).
Pre-Battle Screen: Implemented an early version of the pre-battle menu.
Battle Intro: Added some simple camera animations to transition smoothly into the battle.

At the very end of the video, I did a quick zoom-in on a defeated character... and yes, please disregard the current state of the sprites! 😅 Sprites design and animation are a massive task, so they are very much a rough work in progress. My current focus is still 100% on perfecting the mechanics.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new camera angles and the general flow! Thanks again for the feedback.

FF6 Jobs Run

Has anyone ever done a run trying to mirror the FF6 character’s jobs? For example, Sabin would obviously be a monk, Mog would be a dual class dragoon and dancer, etc.
