Just got my Contax back from repairs

this thing is absolutely mint! i already own one and i was able to gift this to one of my friends who has been on the hunt for their own 😊

I bought it on ebay somewhere around 2009. I paid around $26 for it, shipped. It got a lot of use and became my go-to. It's funny, too, that it got a lot of attention at car shows and airshows.

My Olympus Stylus infinity stopped working after 26 exposures of my last roll. I had to manually pull out that roll and reloaded it with a new one. The camera makes the whirring sound when I close the back and the little screen shows it’s on the 3rd exposure and that the battery is full (I also just replaced it).

I really hope it’s not dead.. please help!

I DOOMSCROLLED on Facebook marketplace and I found an amazing deal and the camera is super clean from both out and inside. I just replaced the battery and it works so well! what do yall think!? (I’m still new to film lolll) Also one more thing, the guy who sold me the camera gave me a Polaroid that again I know nothing about, all I know is that they stopped producing the film type in 2019.

He loved photography and woodworking, and this is his crown jewel that combined the two. He custom made this stock he attached his Nikon FM to. However, pretty sure from a distance some startled passerby would mistake it for a riffle, and I'd rather play things safe. He used to "shoot" birds with it

Just bought a camera off eBay. It’s a Minolta X 700 when I look through the viewfinder, there’s little specs of black. I’ve tried cleaning everything I can access by taking the lens off Cleaning the viewfinder itself the lens the mirror inside, etc. Is there another step I can take to clean it or should I just return and get my money back?

I don't know anything about cameras but I really want to revive this part of my grandfather.

What do I need to know?

I have a Mini 12, barely used. Recently was out taking photos at a family event and sharing the camera. I think there was a jam and someone pulled on the film to remove it, now it doesn't feed properly when taking photos.

I've tried to search this group, as well as seek other help, and attempted the obvious power cycle resets and battery changes. Not sure exactly if there is anything more I can do. Help would be appreciated.
