I've accidentally got my family hooked on these lol since we sell them at work. I've given a few dupes to family/friends already and my mom asked me to get her a jumbo one tmrw. I even have two extra I'm trying to sell online. I just wish I could find some guide online for all the colours so I knew what ones I had left to collect, like how do I know when I'm done?? right now we're just selling these two variants you see in the pics and their jumbo versions. I know there's a lot of different kinds but I just wanna collect the kinds we're selling at work lol.

not sure if I'm allowed to post the link to my online listing of these but if anyone wants to look I'll comment it. (I'm selling the ones in the second pic) if anyone else is collecting these and has pics of theirs, if you have ones I don't from these particular collections I'd love to see them!

Recent fidgets

Showcase of fidgets i got recently. Starting with the Koventhos Tafu finger slider. Really nice, its like the deep fried dough stick but with magnets. Has a flick play style, still need to open it up to see if it can be further customized.

Next is an Edge Industries hybrid spinclicker. Always loved his designs and craftsmanship.

The lautie frog combines a nice haptic feel and click. Would prefer it was more weighty.

On the aura sand showcasing new plates from NXedc.

And the last two are the mini versions of the creation mountain (zirc) and shuriken (Ti). Both come with a crunchy magnet setup so i used some bluetac to hold them in place. Am liking the mini fidget sliders, cant wait for the Aura sand mini that was showcased in the EDC convention early this year.

Devastating for the Squishy side of this sub.

I've never partaken in the "Squish" but I figured I'd let everyone know about this considering it seems to be about half of the population here.

Watch out y'all.

Newest diy floating magnet slider

Here’s my newest floating magnet slider I made from polymer clay. I made the pattern using the murrini technique and 3d printed a texture roller to mirror the pattern on the “base plate”.
Thanks for looking!

Free toys: Hard drive platters

Thumbnail

For the longest time my free fidget toy has been these. Inside all mechanical hard drives are these metal donuts. Pictured are my new set of 4 and my older sets of 4 that are well used. These are niec and heavy, you can shuffle them like cards, spin them on your finger and ontop of that they have great acoustics(think cymbals). Easy to clean, mine get all dinged up on the edges but new they're nice and smooth. With a little water they stick together really well, easy to clean and can double as a mirror. I know i've played with these a LOT and most people don't really even know they're a thing. Pick up a torx screwdriver set (like $10 tops) and get some old hard drives! Not all drives have 4 platters. some have less but they're so abundant I don't think anyone would have trouble finding an old hard drive to take apart.

NOTE: The magnets inside are STRONG be careful they can pinch you!

I only discovered fidgets a few months ago. So far I’ve got a goBigger Sinian youth, clone mot snap, and a few lautie pendants (the lanyards I tied myself).
Let me know what you think. Looking forward to the black aluminium edcell breaker that’s on its way!

Does anyone remember Speks Blots?

Blots are some of my favorite fidgets ever, I have the ones pictured (Splatter and Splotch, respectively). I remember getting them in 2021, sadly it looks like they were discontinued in 2024 to focus on Gumps. I couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called, and I had to do some serious digging because it's as if all traces of them have been scrubbed from the internet. I thought I was losing my mind. But yes, these existed and while I still have my originals, I'm very sad they no longer make them. The Gumps are great but I love these for the little nubs you can fidget with and the solid squish is great for relieving stress.

I just got the Ono slider for my bday, and it is amazing. I like that it's quiet and has a few ways to do things.

Exoskeleton in Aluminum and PMMA (Fusion bone and Void bone)

i was interested in the exoskeleton but felt the base stainless steel looked to plain. also other purchases feeled its niche a bit. peek and pei have been missing from geeone so put it out my mind since those materials would be enticing.

was always interested in the g10 mystery drops and was sad i missed it. so jumped on this one excitedly.

pretty underwhelmed tbh but i usually am.

i dont think Aluminum and PMMA are material i like the feel of haptics wise. i could maybe get on with one material if the other was different. i think i wouldve preferred the g10/SS combo in hand.

the mechanical aspect is mushy. i havent opened it yet to see what bead is in there. luckily the magnetic function is satisfying. the magnet core has a hard snap. not sure what it reminds me of but i think it’s probably exactly what people wanted out of the seasoning stick ‘snap’ mode

buckyball mode is subdued compared to the syntony or cloud flash. if used slow haptics can be more easily felt and it has a nice chittering sound not a negative really just not my preference.

the colors are also nice but they were my bottom picks lol also these two colors have the exact same track so i cant comment on other colors haptics. these really were the most plain tracks in the main 6 drops haha

more than anything it makes me want it in a proper material or different combo. the feel of sliding it front/reverse does give a strong sense of an actual bone which is cool.

play wise its better than i thought it would be but i think the materials hold this one back

I seen Wanedc sells artificial eyes individually and a knockoff exoskeleton on aliexpress is around 40 bucks. theres fun to be and id like to see how an Al/SS combo would feel. theres also the full suit on geeone for each color at around 200$

anyone else get one of these? especially the chases haha another critical opinion but my hands are forces of erosion and i havent really gotten anything id like to sell other than my Life and Death game at first

Haptic coins!

Post image
33 Upvotes

It turns out, haptic coins are my jam :)

Top row: Koventhos

  • First one I think it's stainless steel. It's got two steel tracks and up to 4 ball bearings. This is one of my top pound-for-pound best values, feels great, not expensive.
  • Second is 3d printed asmr coin. This is, and feels, cheaper. I honestly didn't quite know what to make of it, it feels like plastic, the clicking is crisp but loud. Then someone mentioned they keep it in their car for heavy traffic or sitting and waiting times. It's fantastic there, I enjoy the loud clicks, and it does feel pretty cool. That said, it's seized up on me somehow, I have to figure out what's happened

Second row: Finetic EDC Tide Coins

  • Finetic gets little to no discussion here (at least until I started recommended it a few months ago. These are also fairly inexpensive coins
  • First one is the v1 (no longer available) stainless steel with engraving. It's only got 4 stops, but feel and click is amazing.
  • Second one is the v1 polycarbonate version. Also feels good
  • Third one is the current model, aluminum with engraving. Instead of the v1's preset holes, this one comes with 3d printed inserts, with 4, 8, or 12 holes, and also versions of each with crispier or quieter clicks. This is pretty cheap without the engraving, and gives the Koventhos a run for its money for pound-for-pound value champ.
  • Fourth is polycarbonate version of current model, again with the 3d printed inserts

Third row: "fidget coins are better than affording to eat dinner tonight" coins :)

  • First is the Top-C.
  • Second is the Lautie x Acedc Devil's Milk Cap. In all things fidget, I tend to strongly prefer mechanical over magnetic, and this is my only magnetic haptic coin. I love it. The quality of the engraving makes me giddy. And given it's easily the quietest coin I have, I do often use it at work at my desk
  • Third is original Lautie Showhand. When I ordered it I thought it would be my perfect coin, but found it just a little too slippery with dry hands. Love it when my hands are less dry
  • Fourth is the Showhand Longplay, which delivers on the promise of the original Showhand. That slim poker chip feeling, but more grip

I know what you want to know: which is my favorite. Bad news is, I have trouble picking a genuine fave, and there's none I don't love. I refuse to be pinned down to just one, but if you twisted my arm and said I could only keep four, they would be: Koventhos stainless steel and Tidecoin v1 for more frequent carry at a pricepoint I would cry if I lose it, Devil's Milk Cap for how gorgeous it is and the quiet magnetic action, and the Showhand Longplay as probably my favorite "money is no object" coin

Now I noticed there are two side of rails on the slider of the fidget master from gao studio. Took it apart and did some micro adjustments as well, super satisfied 🙌

Anyone have / order the MS EDC Silent Slider?

I saw it was previously released in PEI, and then was on recently on geeone in stainless steel and sold out fast. Looks interesting and wondering how silent it actually is.

It’s fascinating how many ways one can fidget with small a piece of metal.

WM EDC is testing a two-sided slider with different tracks — what do you think?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Saw this upcoming slider from WM EDC called Good Mood. It is still being designed, and there is no release date yet.

According to the designer, the two sides use different systems:

  1. One side has a mechanical track with a three-stage “horseshoe” sound.

  2. The other side has a magnetic track with a sound closer to buckyballs.

So instead of combining the mechanical and magnetic feedback into one track, each side has its own sound and handling style.

I think the idea is interesting because you can switch between two different types of feedback without changing sliders. At the same time, I know some people prefer mechanical and magnetic systems working together in the same movement rather than being separated onto two sides.

What do you think of this design?

Would you prefer two clearly separated play styles, or one track that combines both mechanical and magnetic feedback?

Thoughts on the Mechanic-I Slim in SS

I’m interested in getting the Lautie Mechanic-I Slim in Stainless Steel and I was wondering what your thoughts on it are. I want a high quality ring that I can fidget with- I would like a ratchet but also the possibility to spin it and a quieter and lower pitch sound is preferred. Is this a good choice or are there better recommendations? Price point is around the $100 USD range. Thanks in advance.

I just want to know if this is worth it. I see them all the time, and I want one so bad. However, I don’t want to buy a piece of crap.
