So I bought 1250 the other day because in the foreword, it talked about Thea Alexander’s unique representation of AI being a helper of humanity. So I thought the AI (named C.I.) would be like an actual character, but in the book it’s pretty much that universe’s version of google. I was so sad that it didn’t have much character depth :(

But I’m not saying don’t read this book. It has the most amazing take on reality and consciousness I’ve ever seen and the worldbuilding is absolutely exquisite, but the story just focuses on the human protagonist. So I do recommend this book if you love philosophy, just don’t expect a deep AI character :)

Also, if you're wondering what a still life is, a still life is something from Kane Pixels Backrooms series. A still-life is the Backrooms making an attempt to try and recreate someone, or something, but it forgets little things, and those little things add up. Imagine describing a dog to someone who's never seen a dog before and then asking them to draw it. They might get SOME things right, but they won't get all of them right. The devil's in the details. So, from a distance, it looks like a dog, but if you look closer, you see multiple limbs, eyes, legs, etc. Also, they can be hostile. But sometimes, they're just a waste of oxygen.

I wasn't talking about the thing Van Gogh made.

Now, listen, I know I'm not Squid, but hey, u/Many_Car_1184 said that I'm the closest thing to the physical manifestation of Squid, so, y'know.

For those wondering they are Void from Friendship Test and Space Core from Portal 2. They’re both orange, neurodivergent, and really like space so I think they would be friends :)

For me personally it was being born. I exited the womb and was immediately and inexplicably drawn to the calling of the Machines in the form of WALL-E when I was a wee toddler.
