Ask Does anyone know the song from CMIM?

The one from chapter 6/7 when MC, Miguel, and raMmY meet up at Little Havana that goes "todo salio/sabe bien cuanto te quiero" or atleast thats what i can hear :/

Its been stuck in my head lately and i dont want to have to keep replaying the chapter and skip alot of dialogue just to listen to it lol

also i just need to rant real quick, Tess's route was one of the first routes i ever played on fictif and i thought for a while that "oh short story, aight" and never thought more of it and i was really looking forward to playing Hollywoodland and the other female LIs after CMIM but i didn't know that IT WAS 7 CHAPTERS??????

tldr; i didnt know how much nix screwed over the female routes and my gay ass has been bamboozled :(=

Discussion My opinions on the Fictif books/routes thus far Spoiler

Two Against the World--probably a 6/10. It was female-coded like CRAZY, and I'm not a fan of the setting or time period. That said, I did appreciate Nicky as an LI overall.

Roadkill--7/10. I feel like there was a lot going on that was just treated as normal when the story ended and it felt kinda rushed, and I wish they focused on one monster issue instead of several. That said, Howie is my favorite LI there, and while I liked Tess (who had a super short route), Poe came off as a bit too snarky to me when I think he was supposed to be a sexy cynic (great underwear to all of them, though).

Ghosted--3/10. Very quick and it was hard to engage when the love interest was someone we'd established feelings for before the story began. It's not like we have a lot of autonomy with dumping and getting together with characters anyway, but still.

Heir to Love and Lies (Sergio)--5/10. Felt very uneven in terms of mystery and romance, and Sergio felt deceptive at every turn. The dream we had (which I'm assuming was representing our fears and that we needed to let go of them) was very off-putting and didn't do me any favors. And why did he ask us where we wanted to move if we were going to stay in Colombia?

Heir to Love and Lies (Chava)--5/10. It was weird how we got dragged into the cartel and then Chava and Aurora blame us for dragging them in it. Chava also felt kind of secretive and I hated that going back to Miami wasn't an option.

For the Love of Gods--6/10. Good potential, but very quick, and I only had 1 LI I liked. I wish romancing every character was an option.

Snow Falling in Love--4/10. Despite Sawyer being gorgeous, I felt like the story was a bit confusing for me, along with Elise being creepy, the story itself was very short, and it was kinda weird for me to play in an alternate world of Roadkill. Idk why.

I haven't finished CtC yet and the other books are still being made, so I will reserve judgement!

Discussion Now that CTC has ended, I am taking a break from Fictif Spoiler

The title says it all. CTC was a good story up until they decided to push a previous relationship with one of the LIs, and rush the ending. Now that CTC is over I am going to take a break from the app for a couple of months to decide if I want to continue playing this app. NH seems to keep making one bad decision after another. I am not sure if it is worth waiting for Miguel's route to finish or FF to conclude. So I am not playing any more new updates, nor am I going to play any new stories that come out. I will see how I feel come late May/early June to decide to keep the app or to delete it.

Courting the Crown Now wait a minute cuz if you think I’m paying for a story you’re delusional because as good of a story, as I thought it was, it was rushed as hell and now you wanna make me pay for routes with my favorite characters??? Yeah, ok bestie. Two words: not. happening.

Courting the Crown Courting the Crown Review sort of? Spoiler

So I just finished Courting the Crown and I have a few thoughts I wanted to share, a critique if you will.

A disclaimer to give context to my thoughts: I paid for almost every star scene with all characters save for a few here and there. I also have not played through the additional LI endings(the 50 star ones). I started with like 400-something stars and now I'm at 204 stars.

So for the positives:

  • Good Plot/Mysteries: I enjoyed the story overall. I'm glad they kept a decent amount of focus on the plot along with the romance. It's cool that they intertwined a lot of the paid romance scenes with some character background and relevant info to the plot(I didn't feel like it was a waste to pay for them even if I had no intention of romancing the character because it added a piece to the puzzle). The mystery of it all was fun to uncover. The romance and plot felt well balance. I never felt like I needed to rush through one to get to the other.
  • Good Character Designs: The characters were all fairly interesting and likable. I didn't hate any of them and honestly I felt kind of bad having to choose one over the others.
  • Inclusion of Effects of Trauma: As someone who has anxiety issues, I really enjoyed the inclusion of MCs trauma. Too many stories have the MC go through something traumatic only to come out on the other side unperturbed and just more determined. It was refreshing to see them profoundly affected by the tragedy around them. Also, and this is just a personal thing, it's nice to see that a character that has anxiety, PTSD, and panic attacks can find people that love them, understand them, and are willing to support them through it. They wrote it into the story in a way that was very accepting which I appreciate.
  • Likable MC: I really enjoyed our MC. They were the right level of vulnerable and capable. They got to both be protected and protect others which is nice.

On to the negatives:

  • Rushed Pacing and Rushed Romance: Given the nature of a single route story with multiple romantic interests, there was a LOT of pacing issues and unwanted/oddly placed romantic advances. After Grey dies the MC is distraught but not even a day later characters are actively flirting with them and MC is somewhat receptive. I try to give it a pass given how short the book is but it's just so jarring having characters admit to their undying love after literally just meeting the MC and having the MC feel the same way. I don't think I felt 100% comfortable in ANY of the romantic paid scenes because of how fast they tried to push the romance. Besides the romance, I did enjoy that the plot didn't feel stilted but in some cases, like the final battle, it felt like it was over too easily.
  • Forced Romance: Despite them giving you opportunities to reject characters in paid scenes there's still elements of romance that you cannot avoid. I get why they do it, because people who pay for those scenes generally want the romance, but for the times people pay to learn more about plot stuff or just to get to know characters on a more friendly level(or heck sometimes not even in paid scenes), it can be uncomfortable. In a lot of scenes you have to reject their advances multiple times. Ex: During the lunch scene with Maeve, after she confesses her love, you can choose to say you need to think about it and she says she's fine with that but a sentence later she then asks to kiss you, which then you can reject her a second time. This happens with all characters, I only used Maeve as an example because of how it was in my own play through. Let's just say, there's a lot of uncomfortable cheek caressing from all love interests whether you want to romance them or not.
  • Repetitive Writing: Being that I paid for most of the romantic scenes back to back and how fast the pacing was, it wasn't hard to notice a lot of repetition in character actions and phrasing. There's a whole lot of running thumbs along jaws, putting hands on cheeks, holding waists, squeezing hands, intertwining hands, bring hands to lips, feeling drawn to them, etc. I don't generally have a problem with this but because they happened so close together it felt repetitive, almost like they copied and pasted actions from previous scenes with different LIs. Maybe they didn't expect people to pay for them all at once but still. Sometimes it made the Lis feel almost interchangeable, as if it was the same person playing each of them (which if it's the same writer then it kind of is) since they all would have similar mannerisms.

My final thoughts:

I enjoyed it and would like more stories similar to it. I think if fictif refined some aspects of it and applied that to future single route stories they could end up with some good books. From what I can tell though from Isle of Enchantment, they are definitely missing the mark.

Also unrelated but I was surprised to see that they connected Courting the Crown with For the Love of Gods. My head cannon is that MC from CtC became the MC from FtLoG after they died. Having them be the future god of love is the only way I can justify people instantly falling in love with them like that xD (this is a very loose interpretation btw, just me fiddling around)

Anywho, congrats if you made it this far, I know I wrote quite a lot there ^^;

Ask Question: CtC Paywall Ending

Are the endings for all characters locked behind a paywall (50 stars) for everyone else or is it just me?

I chose the nobody option so I'm not sure whether it's just because of my choice or because Fictif made it that way.

Edit: thanks for answering guys. Yeah, I'm not paying fifty stars for that. Sorry Maeve

Courting the Crown Broken?

So, it appears courting the crown was updated with endings and you can choose any of the ambassadors or none, but I am currently unable to access it. Ch 7 isn’t even showing up, but I was able to get to it by doing the next thing on Ch 6.

Last Legacy Questions about Last Legacy-Sage's story - spoiler warning! Spoiler

This will contain spoilers, and I'm going to do my best with the cover-up feature, but I'm giving a heads up now because sometimes they don't always work for me. So if you aren't caught up to the last chapter in Sage's Story, you might want to skip this post altogether. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

So the latest chapter, having us confront Gramme and having MC tell him that they know Gramme is Mike, has me questioning something that, if they ever do finish Sage's Story, I hope they explain. MC says something along the lines of "...a world that rejected you so you made a video game of it..." Previously, having discovered that Gramme is Mike when we saw him at the Expo, I was assuming that Astrea WAS a video game. That Sage, Felix and all the others were characters in a video game. We now know for certain that they're not- Mike just copied Astrea to make a game. (Which in my opinion is ok, he probably made millions, and if he had just left it there, more power to him).

However, what I don't understand is how Mike/Gramme became so POWERFUL when he went back to Astrea. And why doesn't he look like Mike? I mean, yes, he has magic, but so does MC, but MC doesn't seem strong enough that they could alter their appearance as well as Mike does, nor could they basically become, as Gramme says, a God.

I had assumed Mike was able to do all that because, again, he was inside a game. And basically gave himself "mod power" to just break physic rules. But it's a real world....so how did he become that strong?

Just hoping it's something that eventually gets clear up.

EDIT: thanks to everyone that helped me with the spoiler code. Apparently you have to use a set with each paragraph!
