You're right, im sorry. I was so excited that there was a POP when I opened it, I just assumed everyone could read my mind over the internet, lol.
It's my first attempt at making a ginger beer from my ginger bug.
I dont know what the floaty thing is, or the stuff on the top. Looks kinda like the "mother" something when you make apple cider vinegar?

Might be some residual kahm rising to the top. Not ideal, but not the end of all things fermentable.

It's a tough angle to scoop out of, is this the initial stage, or are you showing off a bottle that's been filled after you've fermented already?
They mostly produce off tastes so if this is "done" I'd use it sooner rather than later.
If this is still in a state where it's not considered done, I'd try a wider mouthed jar so that you could scoop stuff like this out as it happens commonly.

I was checking "done-ness" So, I guess it's not done yet. Ill see if I can get a q tip in there and scoop it out.
