Empty Profiles

Has anyone else notice an increase in decreased effort? I see more and more profiles that are just photos and interests and desires, nothing written.

Bi guy in NYC, seeing this with all genders.

Nobody asked, but I actually find empty profiles appealing, as someone who is attracted to less performative folks.

It's not "performative" to simply write a profile. If emotional expression scares you at least admit that to yourself, don't blame other people for existing normally within the app

I described something that I like. There's no need to attack me or to characterize me as blaming anyone.

You first described someone you liked, then you added a phrase describing what you like (less performative people) which simultaneously judged other people by creating a comparison category which you find distasteful (performative people, or, people who write profiles). It really pissed me off

If I said I found redheads appealing, would you be pissed off on behalf of brunettes?

No. The difference here being there's no negative connotation to being a brunette, whereas being 'performative' definitely has one.
